I have been to this hotel twice. And I would go again. The location is great - just s couple of steps from the sea - weak up in the morning and have a wonderful morning swim. Also the small shops and restaurants are all around, ok car parking, city center is near by.
The rooms are very used, have a smell of cigarettes sometimes, air conditioner is old fashioned and blows exactly on beds. The small kitchen corner is also ok.
This is a place where you can just sleep over, go to the evening show and dances in the bar. Anyway if you are active an away all day round, it is ok place where to sleep and awake with the music of the sea waves.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a pool view.

Hi, me and the wife went here in Oct 2011, we knew from other reviews what to expect, we went for the sun, shopping, and site seeing, done it all and would go back tomorrow. The apartments are old fashioned and there were a lot of OAPS about, but so what, the pool was class and the staff, "bar" the head barman were great. This was a cheapie holiday late in the season and we went self catering, recommend the Bistro Europa restaurant just across the road from the hotel, good familiar grub and Roberts a nice bloke, the wee woman there is good craic can't remember her name..Hope this helps anyone that's thinking of going here

This hotel was average, Rooms were basic and not very spacious. Hotel was clean and tidy. In need of new decor. Outdoor area, pool and garden areas was nice. Great location for beach, juat accross the road. Short walk to town centre. Nightlife in the area very quiet. Overall no major complaints.

We stayed in these apartments bajondillo for 11 nights.we had 3 apartments.the location was excelent just a stroll to the beach.but we had no kettle no toaster on microwave. the space where the cooker was not even room for a cup.maid service every day. room not very clean.especially under the beds and corners of room plug holes in the bath were disgusting with hairs..and the staff very rude.especially the bar staff.exception of one or two.over all very disapointed.would not stay there again.

Stayed 7 nights at Bajodillo self catering from4th to 11th oct on my own. As I had read on Tripadvisor the Bajondillo was a bit tired and yes it was but clean and tidy with maid in every day bar Sunday.exelent location ,beach 20yds, town centre 5mins away with lift just yards from hotel and staition at most 10mins away.
Restaurant a wee bit expensive but nice food but huge choice of places to eat close at hand , I would recomend breakfast or lunch just across rd from reception The Europa or Friends ,both very friendly with good service and good food and sitting between them a wee deli who bake their own bread every morning mmmmm ! Back to the hotel, Reception staff were obviously at the end of a hard season and never seen a smile at any time ,done their job full stop ,not impressed but the bar staff made up for this ,they were all friendly, helpfull and profesional so many thanks to them .
Wee tip your room key turns on your electricity and your gas runs from a bottle under the sink (lift the small lever to turn on ) Nice if reception had told me ,lucky I had come across this system before .
Tip 2 ask for a room with balcony faceing Benalmadina as rooms faceing Malaga dont get sun .

Cheap holiday and no complaints ,well worth the money,If you want The Ritz you will be dissapointed I certainly was happy with my deal.

2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2011

I spent 8 nights with my best friend at Apartamentos Bajondillo in the begining of October 2011. The whole experience was a bit of a nightmare. First, the room we've got wasn't anywhere as good and comfortable as advertised. We stayed in an apartment, badly decorated with old furniture. The size of the apartment itself was very good but the facilities were not exactly ideal. The kitchen was poorly equiped and we didn't have any of the coffee/tea making equipment that was advertised. The TV had a good variety of channels if you're a German speaker, if not, you'll be flicking from BBC News to Sky News all the time. On top of that, I hadn't seen a TV that small for years. The balcony had a plastic table and couple of chairs. To be honest we didn't use it as all the other balconies were facing us and only about 30ft away. Needless to say we had to keep the curtains closed all the time. And you'll be very lucky if you get a huge balcony as they show on the websites as only a few apartments have them. The wifi signal was weak and we could only get it from the kitchen, it was useless in the lounge and bedroom. The pool was of a good size but in the shade after 1500. Not much space around it and the sunloungers are free but if you want a mattress be prepared to pay 3 euros.

It all got even worse after the second night when I woke up with 43 bedbug bites all over my body. The reception was quick in giving us another apartment (identical to the previous one). They never offered help on moving our stuff or apologised. Well, we never even got a smile from the reception staff to be honest. The only friendly staff were the pool lifeguard and the manager (Miguel), who after a complaint, left us off the late check out fee and reimbursed the money I spent on antihistamines and creams.

The hotel's location is very good. Just a few yards from the beach and only a short walk away from the town centre and restaurants, supermarket, etc.

If I ever go back to Torremolinos I'll definitely avoid this place.

Room Tip: Just don't go there.
