“great holiday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2013

In August we were fortunate enough to stay at this lovely refurbished hotel. Checking in was quick and well organised with drinks supplied on arrival. All staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Rooms are spacious with lovely big beds. Bathrooms are large with walk in showers. Food was good and when we asked for a table outside we were given one the next night.Entertainment was varied and look out for the Motown group who were very good vocalists. For good food go out of gate to beach _ turn left and go to El dolfin for lovely food at a reasonable price. For reasonably priced drinks and food go out of front entrance turn right and take short walk to supermarket. Look out for lovely selection of books in foyer if you enjoy reading! Hotel is next to clean beach. Pool is well maintained with helpful lifeguard if you have a disability or mobility problem. Food in the hotel was of a wide variety and beautifully presented. We had a lovely relaxing holiday in beautiful surroundings!

Room Tip: Ask for sea view for amazing view.

Stayed here as two couples, on a half board basis. The hotel has just been refurbished and it has been done to an extraordinarily high level. The reception area is stunning, large and airy and beautifully decorated. Check in was excellent, prompt and efficient. We used the garage to park our hire car, easily accessed down a ramp in front of the reception area, but the hotel is not well served from the garage, involving a change of lift to get to the rooms, slightly awkward with a lot of luggage.
The rooms were of an equally high standard, although safes have to be paid for. The rooms are very well equipped, the bathrooms exceptionally well done, particularly the walk in shower area. We had a high room with good views over the sea, although the balcony was not over generous in size.
The pool area is superb, and has a large shaded area for those of us not as sun tolerant as others. The pool itself was at a great temperature, but the two imposing looking showers proved to be more style than substance, and the changing facilities consisted of one little hut about 3 metres square, in the corner of the garden area, not at all adequate. Access to the beach is 10 metres away, through a locked gate, the number for return obtained from the cheerful and very hard working pool attendant.
Breakfasts and dinners were of a high quality and although not a fan of the first and second sitting system, I can understand why this is necessary in a hotel of this kind. The waitresses were very efficient and although we were only there for three days, Vanessa was a pleasant start to our morning meal and an equally friendly and cheerful end to the day at dinner. Thank you!
Overall, an excellent hotel which sets a high standard.

We stayed for a week in July at the Riu Nautilus Hotel and it was great from start to finish. At check in we were offered juice or sparkling wine while paperwork was processed. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived and we were offered a drink in the bar, however it turned out that we only had to wait 5 - 10 minutes. The hotel has been newly refurbished and they've done a great job. The rooms were well proportioned, modern and very clean. We would have preferred a front facing room but we got a side view which turned out to be ok as we had a view of the mountains and the sea...and lets face it how much time do you really spend in your hotel room on holiday. The pool area was great - enough sun loungers and towels removed of those trying to reserve more than their fair share. The hotel food was delicious - some of the best hot buffet style catering I've had. In addition you can book into the a la carte restaurant for no extra cost. Bar/pool/restaurant/reception/housekeeping service was great. The hotel is very well placed for Torremolinos and Benalmadena and it was a short walk to local bars and nightlife. I've read some negative reviews on here and I can not see any fault in this hotel - some people just enjoy complaining about nothing. All the positives were enhanced by the fact that it is also a child free hotel!

Room Tip: If you want a quiet room opt for a side facing room - otherwise speak to staff they were very helpfu...

Just returned from 2 weeks here in the hotel Nautilus which has been completely
renovated since our last visit and completely modernised.the reception, lounge, pool area and
outside bar and snack bar have also been refurnished.everywhere was kept spotlessly clean.
There are plenty of sunbeds and a large shaded area for those who don,t like too much sun.
the bedrooms have ample storage space and room. The dining room is spacious and there is
plenty of choice on the buffet of hot and cold food to suit even the fussiest of eaters. The staff
are always cheerful and very efficient and the managers are always coming round to see if
everything is to your liking. This hotel is definitely a great place to stay and is in a great position
overlooking the promenade, not far from the impressive Marina and Torremolinus. We shall
certainly stay here again.

Just had a week at the Riu Nautilus and my wife and I were both very impressed. Recently refurbished the hotel has a modern fresh look about it and is very clean and spacious. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The buffet food was very well presented, varied and plentiful. If we had one disappointment it was that there was no tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Having said that coffee in the lounge was only 2 Euros which is very reasonable for a 4 star hotel. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone.

Recently returned from a 10 day stay with Thomson Holidays. Newly and tastefully refurbished, Riu Nautilus is an overall delightful experience! All the staff are very charming helpful and PR orientated. Ray, the manager in attendance at dinner always ready to chat and ask if everything was agreeable. Nice touch. Housekeeping we found to be excellent, beautiful room and sea view which was lovely, rooms 332-336 as a tip! Allocated your table of choice for dinner, the food was good and plentiful. We chose to eat on the terrace however breakfast and dinner blighted by smokers! Smoking should be banned at mealtimes. Only drawback in the room was no electric point near the mirror! Beautiful walk in shower. Easy access to beach and central to everywhere around the area. Good walking on the promenades all very busy and buzzy we like the area very much. From the very beginning with our arrival welcomed with a glass of Cava at Reception it was a lovely stay with excellent staff in all departments and I highly recommend Riu Nautilus. Well done to all there!

Room Tip: Good tip : 3rd floor, rooms 332-336.
