“Clean and efficient”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

We stayed here for two weeks In March, 2015. The hotel is about a fifteen minute walk from the centre of Torrremolinos. Rooms are small but spotless and the breakfast buffet is quite well done. The staff is both friendly and efficient. Stephanie, Belinda, Carmen, and Annie went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone but it is not a four star hotel. It has no gym, rooms are small, and it is not in the centre of activity in the area. It is really a three star boutique hotel.

Room Tip: Front rooms facing the Mediterranean

We arrived on Friday evening to a slight disaster. We'd booked a night at Hotel Isabel, but found out we made it for the wrong date. And by the time we arrived, all the travel sites had sold out of good room rates.

While I was on the phone with the travel site getting a credit for the wrong booking and finding out if they could help with another room, Hubby was chatting with the reception desk at Hotel Isabel. A lovely young lady was doing her best to see how she might be able to help us as well, since the hotel was booked almost full for the night. We really wanted a double bed instead of twins.

The receptionist had one double room left, but it was on the ground floor, adjacent to the lobby. She was concerned about possible noise, but she offered us a reduced rate if we wanted to book it, which we gladly did. We didn't want to have to try to find another hotel, after driving all afternoon.

We were thoroughly delighted upon opening the door to our 1st floor room. The design included an outside door beyond a small foyer, which meant two layers of soundproofing from the lobby. The decor was beautiful, using lots of sea blue hues and pretty wood trim and furnishings. The room looked like it had rarely been used - everything was almost new.

This was the first hotel we stayed in, of seven hotels in Spain and Portugal, that provided a coffee maker in the room, along with a selection of coffees and teas.

Storage space was more than plentiful, with a triple door closet. Three full length mirrors covered the width of the entire closet - excellent because I consider a full length mirror to be an essential feature. The room was well furnished with bedside stands, a computer desk, a mini-refridge, a pretty cloth-covered luggage rack (or bench). There were plenty of lamps and electrical outlets.

Amenities were top of the line - body milk, shampoo and bath gel, bar soap, tootbrushes, a comb, Q-tips, tissues, a shower cap - even bedroom slippers. Towels were thick and plentiful. There was no bathtub, but the shower was very roomy and did have a pull down bench if someone required one. There was also a hair dryer and an attached make-up mirror.

The room was absolutely beautiful, and it even had a little balcony with table and chairs. I couldn't believe this was considered an undesirable room due to the location. We heard no noise all night. In fact, had someone not opened the door outside the foyer, we might have slept past noon check out time. As it was, we heard loud talking in the lobby at about 11:20 a.m. and made a mad dash to get ready to leave before noon.

The bed was fantastic, obviously - comfortable, large, good pillows. We loved everything about Hotel Isabel, including its location directly across the street from a popular beach area.

Parking was free on the street adjacent to the lobby. We were advised not to leave anything in the car, which was fine. The only negative I can think of is the wi-fi connection. It seemed to work well in the lobby, but once we got in our room, service was non-existent.

We'd definitely book Hotel Isabel again if we're ever back in Torremolinos.

Arrived at hotel and we looked pleased with the appearance and position on the front. Our room was at the side and we assumed the rooms at the front were more expensive as many looked empty. The room was basic but had no tea facilities, so after asking for one they supplied one. The fridge was locked and had a charge of 4 euros a day so nowhere to put milk. We arrived with poor weather and the TV had three English channels No ITV. On our last day we used the breakfast buffet and at 9.5 euros each was poor. The cleaner came every day and it was kept clean and tidy. The hotel overall was OK but after reading some reviews I expected a better result.

Room Tip: A front sea view would be ideal for sunshine all day

We stayed for 4 Nights in april 2015 at this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful and our room had a very nice view. The location was perfect just a few meters from the Beach and several restaurants. The brekfast was very good and included more than we normally find for breakfast in Spain. The hotel was clean. Due to low temperature outside we did not use the pool-area, but from our balcony it looked very nice and accessible for hotel guests. There are always room for improvements, and it would have been nice with a little bit more space in the elevator, since there is only 1. But in general we were very satisfied and will absolutely consider this hotel next time in Costa del Sol.

Room Tip: Ask for room with sea-view, (rooms 201-206, 301-306, etc)

My partner and I were so pleasantly surprised at the quality of the room and hotel in general given the price! We stayed 4 nights, the rooms are lovely and have everything you'll need including hair dryer, safe, kettle, toiletries etc. Pool & ocean views are beautiful from the balcony and location is right across the road from the strip of the little restaurants and bars.
Pool area perfect for basking in the sunshine, breakfast great selection too. Strange that you had to hire use of the fridge though?

fridge is as you rightly say for rent if you use it only for your own goods. However if you use it also with our minibar drinks will not be charged any fees for rental

A fabulous hotel, ideally located right on the beach front of Torremelinos so great for walikg around tge neighbouring resorts. Also easy accessible from airport, just walked across to station and got the train straight to Torremelions, then walked down to hotel. We only had hand luggage so managed ok but you you could
jump in a taxi for few euros, as not gonna lie those pesky slippery steps down the San Miguel are no easy feat! Hotel was spotless, the breakfast was great, the best by spanish standards weve had, they really do cster for the Brits, HP sauce and sweets trolley for kids!
The pool and gardens are nice and relaxing, rooms and balcony with lovely views made for nice evening drinks and people watching!
The only thing we did miss was a kettle with coffee making facility in the room, but eoukd take them next time. Will definitely go back and have reccommended to everyone!

Room Tip: Request front room overlooking beach and promenade for nice relaxing views!

Thank you for your feedback. It is true that not all rooms have tea and coffee set, but if requested it we give you one without a problem. Also thank you very much for highlighting our breakfast to which we give very much importance regarding the quality of the products.

Stayed here again for few days from 22nd March another great stay (apart from the weather) this hotel is so well positioned and spotlessly clean and front facing rooms are brilliant, great view and nice size, great staff always e-mail ahead and Belinda on reception very helpful and cheery plenty of breakfast choice, if there is a negative they normally charge for fridge and safe but safe is now free which is move in right direction but this shouldnt put you off this hotel and i still wouldnt stay anywhere else whilst vistsing this area

Room Tip: sea view rooms worth the extra
