“A room with a view”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago

Stayed at the Isabel for 4 nights in early March and it was ideal for a short break. Our room was on the 5th floor facing the beach so the view was perfect. Breakfasts were good and the staff were always helpful, although the guy on reception wasnt the cheeriest. The resort was quiet given the time of year, and the hotel was probably less than a quarter full. Good value for money from this little gem of a hotel.

Room Tip: Get a sea view room.

Me and my partner have just returned from a 5 day break and stayed at the Isabel, we were met with a pleasant receptionist. Our room was lovely and clean, fresh towels everyday! The breakfast was always lovely, eggs-scrambled/fried/boiled bacon and beans, cereal, fruit and pastries! Free wifi, which was the slower speed but sufficient for what we needed but u can pay for the faster connection. Close to lots of restaurants and shops and the beach was lovely too!! Would return :)

I'm glad you all had a pleasant stay with us. Thank you for your comments on the wifi. We have made a new investment this year to improve the service and we offer two options, free wifi for all our customers and premium wifi at very affordable prices for those who need more speed.

Very clean, comfortable hotel.Nice little sunbathing area around the pool.Breakfast nothing to shout home about. Not a lot going on but if your after a quiet hotel just to chill out its very nice.A bit cheeky charging to use the fridge, especially as it is one of the more expensive hotels in the area.

Thank you for noting the cleanliness of the hotel. Regarding the fridge I would like to inform you that we have the option to rent it as a fridge or a minibar option in which case you are not charged rental, only what you consume. I assume that you where informed off these options

this was our second visit to the Isabel after a holiday there in Sept last year and once again we weren't disappointed.
the hotel had just reopened after their winter break and was looking pristine. The staff were very helpful again and we had a lovely room on fifth floor overlooking the sea - rooms at the Isabel
all come with tea and coffee making facilities and a small refrigerator. The TV has 5 or 6 english channels including bbc1 and 2-itv etc - the balcony is roomy with table and chairs perfect to watch the world go by.
Breakfast was served in their restaurant / cafe at ground floor level until 10.30am and was very good with lots of choice.
I needed to use a mobility scooter there and the staff were very helpful and arranged for me to store it overnight in their underground garage and even arranged a charging point for me.
The Playamar area has lots of bars and eateries very close to hotel and a large Supermarket 300 yards away.
It's very difficult to find anything to complain about at the Isabel and we would thoroughly recommend it
FRH

Room Tip: always go for sea view room at front- corner rooms are nice

We spent a few days in this hotel, it was very clean and staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was at the side of the hotel which did not get the sun, but didn't really mind as we spent our day sitting at the pool. Breakfast was self service buffet and had plenty of choice. It was a bit of a walk to the main area but we didn't mind a stroll along the promenade before dinner. Plenty of pubs restuarants and shops there, although it was a more mature place not suited to young people. If I was going back to this area again I would stay in this hotel again.

Hotel spotlessly clean and staff very helpful. Didn't like having to "hire" the safe in the room and fridge - cost an extra 50 euros for 2 weeks. However, it is a long walk to the main eating/shopping areas. If we were to go there again we would choose a hotel further along the coast, not on the Paseo Maritimo where the sea front restaurants were rubbish. To get anywhere half decent you had to climb all the steps (lift shuts at 9pm) and go all the way back down later. Only decent restaurant was the Granvinos on the Plaza de San Miguel, a square off to the left of the main drag. Only saving grace was The Irish Affair bar where we were entertained in great style by Neil McBride (think that's the right name) and the drinks were reasonably priced. Resort itself has great beaches and is very quiet. Trip to Tangier was fantastic value for money and well organised.
