We stayed here with our three year old son in July (10th - 16th) on a B&B basis, after reading previous reviews we were a little anxious. However this was soon forgotten with friendly staff, clean room and to some extent comfy beds.
The safe in the room is a little expensive at 32 Euros with only a 5 euro deposit return we also had to buy some products before they would turn the fridge on, but this was a minimal fuss in the whole grand scheme.
The breakfast each morning was excellent and if you are unhappy with the selection, I don't think you ever will be and once again the service was faultless.
Around pool, which we only visited twice, as previous reviews yes there was a lot of towels reserving beds but on both occasions some these which were not used were removed by lifeguards' which is a good thing.
The biggest plus point of this hotel has to be location, within easy reach of all attractions, i.e. cable car, marina, water park etc. we even got a taxi into Malaga which was still only 22 Euros. The restaurants on the beach directly in front of the hotel are of good quality, especially the fish.
As some reviews have stated, yes the rooms are a little basic, but I think this can be the norm for any European hotels, but we consider this as 'just somewhere to sleep', although the air conditioning was a must.
Would I recommend the hotel......definitely.

Room Tip: All rooms appear the same but you will pay 10 Euro's more for marina view or south facing balcon...

Just got back from our week away with the granddaughters who are aged 6 &9.The hotel is very clean and tidy and well maintained. The kids had plenty to do starting at 11am with the kids club finishing for lunch and then starting again at 9.30pm and finishing at 10.10pm for the nights entertainment.During the day round the pool they put a mat in the water for kids and adults to run across once a week they put a slide in. Only thing wrong about the pool its too deep even for me to stand up in you could,nt have air beds in or play any ball games. The rooms them selfs was clean tidy with plenty of space the maid came in every day but just be aware about the shower screen it exploded on us, dread too think what would have happened if the granddaughters was in the bathroom we are not ones to complain but there was no appolgy from the management or they didnt ask if anyone had been injured. Staff was cheerfull and very helpfull. The meals was ok but just watch out for undecooked chicken and burgers. After all that we would go back and recomend this hotel to eveybody.

We have just visited this hotel for 10 nights and had a great time. After reading the reviews we was a little bit anxious because of all the bad reviews. But after visiting this hotel we found all the bad reviews to be very untrue. All the staff were very friendly, the food was nice, the hotel and the rooms were gorgeous and were always kept very clean. We were very pleased and will definitely be returning to this hotel again.

We have recently returned from a 10 day holiday at this hotel and were disappointed to say the least. On arrival the fountain looked good but when switched off was quite dirty on the bottom. On arrival the staff came across as uninterested and didn't even mention where to go for breakfast. The lifts were out of order on 2 days. You have to buy 10 drinks before you get the fridge switched on and all they did was flick a switch inside the fridge. Don't expect to get a sunbed- only about 200 for approx 1000 guests and every one had a towel on it by 7am. We had to pay elsewhere for sunbeds every day. The public area was nice but mostly unused during the day and the entertainment was of a poor standard. When you get to the rooms definitely not 4 star. No spa, indoor pool etc which you would normally get in a 4 star. At breakfast one of the coffee machine was broken on several occasions, tables weren't cleared promptly, most days not enough saucers for cups and eggs seemed to be left for quite a while. Not what you want to see first thing in the morning. In the room, chipped work tops, no drawers in bedside tables or dressing table only shelving in wardrobe. Bed was very hard and we both ended up with backache and the sheets didn't fit. We even had to ask twice for the room and bathroom to be cleaned properly. The best thing about this hotel is the view over the marina. Definitely will not be back.

Room Tip: When you book, pay extra and book a room with a marina view on a high flloor
