arrived bout 9ish reception were very efficient being as there were 12 of us,found hotel to be clean food was acceptable(personally i found it better at the hotel griego mar that we stay at in may)but all our group were fairly impressed you ain't gonna starve.pool area is a good size with lots of room and beds, pool is lovely.

The only downer i would say really is the bar and the cheery barstaff, beer was served in small wine glasses which you could only get 2 so u both have to go to bar and the staff never seemed in a hurry as there was only 1 bar open in the evening and the queue could get big v quickly, and be careful if they haven't changed the seating outside as the seats pinch your butt or ladies dresses as i would say 80% of them are broken, they may well change cos we did mention to the barstaff!!

other than that nice hotel and great location close to lift for beach and 2mins from main shopping area

Could not fault the hotel or location. Very clean and good choice of food daily. Unfortunately there is no entertainment at this hotel. Sadly aswell if you are all inclusive, drinks are only free upto 11pm.

Super location in the middle of town centre, Torremolinos. Still short distance to the beach.
Very good food and service in the hotel.
The room was not the best....but acceptable. Needs some renovation soon.

Well what can i say, stayed at this hotel 2 years ago but how it has changed. For the worse. Greeted with a room that smelled of smoke and needed updating. Old curtains and bedding with a tv from the 80's. Went for a 'snack' after arriving from a late flight to a stale cheese sandwich. Thought things would improve they didnt, most of pool area cornered off. No entertainment in day .. Boring. As for the restaurant it too busy and poor quality not to mention hardly any choice. No entertainment on night. Apart from a keyboard player that they keep advertising but only on once while we was there. No courtesy room. Staff not interested. Had a great holiday when l wasnt in hotel. Oh and it seems the hotel replies to non of the comments. Not a four star !!!

Stayed here at the beginning of October and found the location of hotel ideal for travelling on bus and train to other resorts on the Costa del Sol.
It is situated in the town centre and surprisingly was really quiet on a night though plenty was going on in the plaza outside.
There is a lift about 100 metres away which takes you down to the beach area for a small fee 50 cents. Well worthwhile.
The hotel restaurant is a bit chaotic in its layout and the food although palatable would never win any awards.
The entertainment was virtually none existent on a night in the hotel and in the town, only bars showing football.
In conclusion,I'd say it was worth what we paid for the holiday but four stars no way.

The mixed reviews of this hotel certainly made me concerned and unfortunately they proved true.

The hotel has a nice modern reception area but the rest is stuck in the 1970s. Check in was not efficient and the staff were not friendly.

The rooms are awful. Old wooden furniture with a cheap varnish, tatty curtains which did not match the bedding, old fashioned bathrooms. The bed was strange, the 'mattress' was a hard thing and the bed legs were wobbly. Surprisingly the floor was dark wooden laminate and looked new – but it did not match the rest of the yellow pebble dash walls. A bonus was a little fridge which although took a while to cool was silent at night. The TV in the room was one of the old CRT things, but you don't go on holiday to watch TV do you! Our room was on the top floor which was really noisy due to the wind howling past the solar panels at night-time, I'm not a particularly light sleeper but it managed to keep me awake. Once thing I found really strange was that it was a different cleaner each day that turned up - made me uneasy - it something was stolen how you would know who it was? Unfortunately they did not know how to clean laminate wood floors as walking around the room bare foot gave you black feet.

We stayed all inclusive and the restaurant was not good. The buffet style food was never hot, poorly presented and of a really poor quality. The choice was the same every night - cold pizza, 'live action' plain grilled meat & fish, chips, two stews, a bland pasta sauce and some over cook vegetables. The salad however was really fresh and lovely. Lunch was the same as dinner with less choice. If staying all inclusive the drinks are also self serve and you can choose from draft beer, draft sangria, draft soft drinks, house wine or tap water. Most people took a bottle of wine back to their table to save you constantly getting up replenish your tiny glasses. If you want to make the most of the all inclusive option make sure you eat at meal times as the options served in the bar are strange. There is a table with a cloth on in the corner and on it is some plain white bread (no butter) a small selection of cheese and meat, some kind of stew, and occasionally some ice cream. It was the same every day. Awful.

The bar area was always really crowded. There did not seem to be enough places to sit considering the size of the hotel. The guys behind the bar though were really friendly and did their best to make sure they served people in the correct order. I wouldn't bother with the cocktails available on the all inclusive menu as they were not freshly made and tasted as if they came from a carton. The vodka was the cheap nasty stuff so I would recommend ordering it with lots of lime cordial to mask the taste! The beer was surprisingly really nice though. There was absolutely no ambience in the bar area at all, TV playing sport was on silent and there was no music playing so it was difficult to relax.

One thing you need to be aware of are the lifts! There are 4 tiny lifts (they only hold 4 people each) which is just not sufficient for a hotel with 397 bedrooms!

The outdoor pool area was quite nice, although there were not enough sun loungers and no parasols. The pool upstairs is under a glass canopy which was leaking and the green fabric flooring around it was filthy. The 'gym' has three pieces of old fashioned equipment, not worth using really.

The entertainment was only available on a Friday and Saturday night and was a Spanish one man band! He started at 8 for a few hours. It was quite nice to watch the locals dancing around, but not really my scene.

Surprisingly on one day we saw the hotel manager screaming and shouting at a customer at the reception desk. Not quite sure what had gone on but it is no way to speak to a customer - I was really shocked.

The location of the hotel is great as it is right in the centre of Torremolinos. I wouldn’t bother getting a transfer from Malaga airport as there is a direct train which takes 20 minutes and costs less then €3. When you walk out of the train station look straight ahead and you will see the hotel which is about a 3-5 minute walk. There were a few nice bars close to the hotel including a thriving gay scene. The beach is a long walk down some steep steps. There is a lift nearby for 50 c which takes you half way down but you still need to walk down some steps. There are also a few supermarkets close by, don’t use the one directly opposite the hotel entrance – instead turn right and there is one on your left about 3 minutes down the road.

The hotel management are not doing a great job because for a hotel of its size the experience should have been much better (I would suggest they stop shouting at paying customers!). Do not be fooled by the brochures, this hotel is definitely not a 4* hotel so do not expect luxury.

I would definitely visit Torremolinos again but would give this hotel a miss. You have been warned!

Room Tip: Do not stay on the top floor as the wind howling around from the solar panels will keep you awake.
