A bit apprehensive about going to Torremolinos ,the Blue Cervates is a lovely Hotel ,but the quality of the bedrooms and balcony are a bit tired ,towels, bedding, our balcony had four slats of wood missing which separated you from your neighbours,we all like to be private,we reported it to reception and it was done straight away,we where only bed and breakfast,it was fine, something for everyone even if you were a pickie eater.we used the Tapas bar everyday to eat our meals ,which was at the back of the Hotel,Excellent! It's on the corner where all the flags are,I would go to Cervantes again.Weather was excellent! Lovely two weeks.

Room Tip: We had room 428 facing the sea we were happy there.

I would suggest you do not pay for transfer. It's so easy to do yourself. Walk out of airport terminal - the train station a couple of minutes away - costs less than 2 Euros per person - 4 stops later when you get up to street level you can see hotel only a few minutes walk away. Train travel is cheap and run regularly. The hotel I would not class as a 4 star but overall the stay was good. The room was on the 5th floor and a corner room so large balcony with a sea view. Room was spacious. Plenty of hanging space. Safe in room costs 3Euros a day. We asked for more pillows which wasn't a problem. My only gripe about the room was that in the bathroom it was abit grimy around the edges of the room. If your looking for typical Britsh food forget it - mainly cater for Europeans. In saying that I have to disagree with people and there was plenty to eat. I had something different every night and I am a fussy eater. Lots of salad, cold meat, cheese, fresh fruit, fish, pork, veal etc - just don't go looking for burgers or chicken nuggets etc. All inclusive stops at 11pm. There was entertainment over the weekend but nothing really during the week which was a little disappointing but if you go out the back entrance your on the main street which has lot of bars where you can sit and watch the world go by or browse around the many shops which are open till around 10pm. There's a pool outside and also on the rooftop which has a small gym and sauna area. We went on a couple of bus trips to Ronda and Nerja both well worth a visit and jumped on the train to Malaga. WiiFi was 5 euros per day which I think a rip off.

Just back from a 5 day break with my husband. We used the train from the airport to the hotel and it was really easy and cheaper than a taxi. The check in was quick and our room on the 3rd floor was clean. The location of the hotel is great you near all the shops and bars and the beach is just down the steps. The food was average, we always found something to eat but the lay out is ridiculous. We were out about 9 every morning and there were loads of sunbeds. The pool area is much too small for the size of the hotel and the sunbeds are all on grass which is all wet in the morning after it has been cleaned. At night there was no entertainment at all. The bar area was dead as everyone went out. You would think a 4 star hotel would have something in the bar at night to keep the guests in. Some of the bar staff could do with a smile now and again. Overall my husband and i had a nice cheap few days in the sun. I would only rate this as a 3 star hotel.

Room Tip: Use the train. Only 1 euro 70 each. You only have a 5 min walk to the hotel from the train station.

Just back from a four night stay at the Cervantes. Found the hotel to be nice and clean , our bedrooms were quite good plenty of space and nice enough bathroom.

Food was not the best. In the morning the bacon looked under cooked and the scrambled egg looked horrible but there was plenty of fresh bread and rolls which was fine for us. In the evening you could find something to eat but I would like to point out that the food is not the standard of a 4 star hotel.

Our main complaint was with the pool area. There is only a small tiled area around the pool and all the sunbeds were on soil. there was evidence of grass but presumably with all the traffic in high season it was really bare. I felt sorry for the cleaning staff because they worked hard to keep the hotel floor clean but a soon as people came indoors from the pool it was all muddy.
Especially in the morning after the sunbeds had been washed. Why not tile the whole area ?

As for the lack of entertainment we wondered if the hotel wanted you to out instead of drinking there.

It is true that there is a lack of decent snacks through the day compared to other all-inclusives.

We had a late flight home so we checked out and stored our cases. There is a sauna on the top floor that opens at 5 pm so we got a shower there before leaving.

Overall our weekend was fine. You get what you pay for and it was cheap. We also had read the reviews so we new what to expect apart from the farmyard round the pool .

Stayed here Xmas from 17th to 24th December. We were lucky and had a fantastic week of sunshine. Able to walk along the prom in shorts and t-shirts whilst the Spanish had their hats and coats on lol. Cooled down a bit at night but only needed a light jacket. Pool cold but a few braved it even in December. We had a great corner sea view room for the three of us. We were all inclusive and thought the food was great. Good variety and something for everyone. Always a chef on hand cooking meat or fish and always a paella type dish on offer. Only two drinks per person so families had to go up together but not a big problem. Very clean hotel and most staff friendly. Cleaners/kitchen staff donned Xmas hats on Xmas Eve and sang carols as they all walked around the hotel which we loved and couldn't understand some miseries who said they were trying to eat breakfast in peace. Still plenty of shops, restaurants and bars open so doesn;t "close down" like some resorts. Walked along the prom from Torremolinos to Benalmadena which is a lovely walk and you end up at the harbour where you can stop for a well earned drink. Buses and trains regular. Would defintely get the train from Malaga Airport as its only a couple of euros each or so and is quick and easy. Train is just across the road from the airport and brings you out in Torremolinos town square. At the top of the steps look behind you and you can see the Cervantes a short 3 minute walk. Would recommend and hoping to go again this Christmas.

Having read a number of the previous reviews I was a little unsure of what to expect, I travelled with three male friends for a long weekend at the football so we weren't seeking luxury but do have standards. It's fair to say we was pleasantly surprised

The entrance to the hotel is modern as is the restaurant downstairs and the majority of the common areas. Whilst not opulent it is clean, neat and tidy.

The rooms are a little tired but were very clean and pleasant enough, certainly not worthy of complaint, when you're paying £100 a room a night for two all inclusive you have to be realistic.

The food was generally good and there was a reasonable variety of choice. Again not extravagant but certainly plentiful. As for drinks and snacks, the bar staff were very good and more than accommodating, as were all the staff encountered.

All in all, if you go expecting luxury for slightly more than Premier Inn price you will be disappointed, however the hotel is clean, staff helpful and food / drink more than adequate.

Just got back from a 1 week stay at this hotel and was disappointed. The check in was very quick and the rooms spacious and very clean, I had a corner sea view room on the 5th floor with a huge balcony and spectacular view which was lovely. The hotel looks lovely and modern but the rooms are very tired with very hard beds and flat pillows. The staff were great (expecially the cleaning staff) a couple of the bar staff were a bit miserable but overall ok. The pool is not really big enough for the volume of people but we always got a sunbed. I was all inclusive and the food was terrible, we ate out 3 evenings and 2 lunches as there was not very much variety and not enough healthy options, another disappointment was snacks as an all inclusive I have always found there to be burgers, hotdogs, pizza, icecream etc. but there was nothing apart from a bit of salad and some bread & pastries left over from the meal before. I agree with other reviews in that the lay out of the restaurant is rediculous as by the time you have gathered your plate the food is cold. There was no entertainment to speak of in the hotel and on venturing out we found none in the town either. All in all would not go back again as definately not the star rating it is supposed to be.
