“well worth a visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2014

Beautiful well maintained and tranquil park just a 20 minute stroll inland from the seafront
Enjoyed a couple of hours one sunny afternoon, the views from the circular structure were amazing overlooking the sea etc
There is a small boating lake and you can hire somewhat large rowing boats which judging by some of the rowers took a lot of effort to get very far!
So for a change from the coast this park is worth a visit

“Ok For A Wander Round”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2014

Bit Hard To Find As Most Of The Gates Are Locked, Theres A Nice Kids Area And Large Man Made Boating Lake. Some Old War Artifacts (Guns) Scattered about. Worth Having A Wander Round But Not Too Exciting

“A quiet space”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2014

We visited this beautiful park on a quiet afternoon. We walked round and climbed the lookout point. Then we spotted the boating lake and rowed round for a while as the seagulls swooped and squaked. Last time we were here there was beautiful music being piped throughout the park.

“Fabulous Views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2014

This relatively new park is often missed by the tourists who prefer to stay close to the beach but is worth the uphill walk if only to see the views from the top of the tower. The park itself contains a man made lake with boats for hire, gardens, jogging and cycling track, keep fit machines and a children's park. In addition there are 4 old cannons that were used in the 1st and 2nd World Wars with descriptions of each. Cafeteria and toilets are located by the main entrance which is near to El Pinillo railway station. I have noticed that the park is often used for post wedding celebrations which is perhaps a reflection on how the locals consider it as a rather beautiful place to look back at the photographs in years to come.

“Worth a visit to this lovely park”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2014

We always visit the Bateria Park each time we stay in the Torremolinos/ Benalmadena resorts as it is such a quiet and peaceful place. It is up from the Carihuela area, not very far, but up hill all the way. Walking back down to the resort is not too bad, Easier to get a taxi which is about five euros. It is closed on Mondays but opens at 11 am every other day. The grounds are kept immaculate, there is a large boating lake, fountains and guns from when Spain was invaded many years ago. There is a watch tower where you can go up and get good views all over the resort below. The many trees are really amazingly shaped. Toilets are kept spotlessly clean, butt there is no cafe, which would be welcomed by many of the visitors, ther is just a drinks machine. Well worth spending the time to go for a couple of hours.
