Once upon a time, this Hotel have had glorious days! The builder of the hotel have had eyes for details, hand painted tiles, fountains, inside courtyards, wooden doors with carvings etc.
BUT that is YEARS AGO!!!
Today the tiles are cracked, many are simply missing, the flowers are either totally dead or dying, the fountain has dried out and have been planted with half dead green stuff in plastic pots, the paints are falling off the doors and windows, theres old dried dog poo on the sidewalk outside the entrance and the parking was not where to be found.
However that is not even the worst thing - the worst thing is the rooms!!
First of all, we had pre-booked a double room - and mind you this is a 3 star hotel, so we kinda expected to get A LOT more than what we got!
The room had two separate beds, with nasty bed covers on. When we pushed the beds together in the corner (see pictures) a huge amount of long black hair were revealed!!
There were so much hair on the floor that we did't even take our shoes off!!!!
The only trash can was in the toilet, a small one with a broken pedal. There were mould in the shower and either the water was scolding hot or cold with no pressure.
The walls revealed that loads of mosquito's had died there and the old wooden door to the terrace that had once been fancy, were falling apart.
The mattresses were hard to lay on and there were spots on both towels and sheets - way over due time to change that too!!!
This place is so worn down and dirty, that I as a owner would't even know where to start fixing it! I would probably close the entire place for a few month and go in with a serious team of handymen and cleaning women!!!
And the WiFi......NOT even excisting!
We booked this hotel through RyanAir's hotel booking and just had to stay one night, as we arrived late (01.00 am) and checked out again at 09.00 am) and I'm HAPPY we did't have to stay for longer as it was impossible to sleep on the hard mattresses and nothing there was a joy.
It seemed to me that people who stay at a worn down hotel, don't take just as good care of it as they do at a nice hotel, where things are working and good looking - for instant did the lack of cleaning make me keep my shoes on at ALL TIME which I would normally NEVER do.
One of the reasons why we booked this hotel, was the free parking. My husband drives a Lotus Elise and we never park on the street as the car drags a lot of attention - the free parking in a covered garage ended up being parking on the side of a villa road with a penetrating stench of dog poo and pee!
Never ever again - this hotel is so bad, that it's almost the worst I've ever stayed on, only surpassed by a hotel in rural Kenya!!!
