Where do we start? We eat here and ended up with food poisoning for four days! Waiter extremely abusive even when you asked for a tea bag at breakfast. Tried to communicate at reception about food poisoning and everything else and all they did was shrug their shoulders and pulled a face.Rat still running around pool( sorry paddling pool !!). Rooms filthy. Unfortunately we stayed a fortnight and only the sheets were changed once and they were dirtier than what they took off.Pillowcases never changed and towels were just swapped from room to room,so never clean.Ended up spending our holiday on food instead of trips.Electrics mainly bare wires even the telephone was held together with masking tape.Had to rob toilet rolls and (clean!!) towels off the trolley when no staff were watching.If other guests required items they would take them from other rooms even if they were still occupied. For example a pillow from our room,shower curtains from another room.We had a twin room with single bedframes with 3/4 matress balanced on top and with headboards propped up against the wall which banged against the wall even when you just sat on the bed.The only entertainment was the waiter being abusive towards you and watching him picking up cutlery off the floor and replacing it in cutlery tray, also man handling the food from the supposed cooked food to the salads and then removing paper serviettes from your table and replacing them on pile for reuse. Other entertainment was watching the hovel's service man go off shopping and come back with boxes of cardboard cornflakes then an hour later go back to car and remove packets of sliced meat from boot, this is in temperatures of 32c!!! UNLESS YOU HAVE REALLY GOOD LIFE INSURANCE, DON'T GO HERE.

Please please read before you even try to book the hotel. The hotel situates at the main road so there is always constant noise from outside, forget about double glazing windows(doesn't exist in Spain). The staff hardly speaks any English. There are no soaps provided in your rooms, so we asked the staff for soap. And been asked small or large as for me didn't make any difference. But then the receptionist was back with towel after 10mins waiting. when we repeated no towel but soap , he brought us after a while a plastic bag, I don't know whether he is a daft?
The breakfast was shocking and I mean it! the choice was from the cheapest grocery you can ever buy which will consist of bread, plastic jams, out of date margerine, plastic cakes, plastic cheese and sour and unedible salami, plus if people didn't eat their rolls and desserts previous night- it been provided next morning, nothing were through out! Juices were from machine but you can't drink them as it was cloudy and funny consistancy. Coffee/chocolate were also from powder which were loaded at the machine and tasted discusting. Forget about any fresh fruit or cakes, or anything fresh, does NOT Exist at the hotel.
Diner is DISASTER! nothing fresh!
BTW we saw rat by the swimming pool, the receptionist were warned and also seen but she ignored it as it's nothing usual.
The staff at restaurant was terribly rude and arrogant!
The special for your hotel- is the sheets and towels being changed every three days, if you are lucky! It's hotel's policy! The hotel is dark, pool 1m x 1m(tiny), no space by the pool, no sunbeds, no service, TV only in Spanish (Hotel sold to English tourists)
Please read reviews and please don't book it in here as you will cry everyday! The ruin my holiday which was looking forward, there is nothing positive about the place, stunky toilets and dirty filthy place!
To be on positive- take tours to Gibraltar and Tangier, will make your day.

I nearly cried after reading reviews when I accidentally booked this hotel from Teletext in error for our family; we hadn't had a holiday for 3 years. My husband told me not to worry and we would deal with the issues should any arise when we get there. We just needed a cheap holiday, however this was not a cheap holiday by the time teletext finished adding on all the extras we needed and sold the holiday as 7 nights when it was actually 6! We booked half board and I was really worried about reviews relating to the food as I talked my daughters friend into paying to come on holiday with us. Same as everyone else who have written reviews here, no way is this hotel 3 stars!!! The man on reception spoke little English as the hotel was really geared up for the Spanish as the rest of the staff spoke no English at all and we too had to find our own way in the dark. The man in the restaurant was rude & angry, the food was disgusting (its true about the breakfasts, a cold cheese & ham roll, toaster so slow you forget you put bread in & it only does one side at a time, orange juice looks like an alcoholics pee after a night out and the cutlery was dirty, we had two options; 1 was to move hotel straight away but we couldn't get one & 2 was to eat out for every meal after that first morning with me and my husband to footing the bill. We had to opt for number 2 and this cost us about 700 euros over a week on top of the usual stuff. Our sink was proper cracked & the bath was filthy; patio door had massive gaps around it, the safe was not in the room but in reception which was not always manned, this caused some grunts every time we needed stuff from it so we left everything in there. We didn't have a TV in our room but the Spanish next door did as it would be very loud at times & my daughters bed had a great big dip in it. As some one already stated, the air-conditioning had to be worked out. When we arrived early hours of the morning, we were met with a stench of sewerage and a cloudy pool for 2-days, it did eventually clear but there were no sunbeds & only a few grubby chairs; you had to watch where you sat as the huge palm tree at the pool area kept dropping big cones of some sort on your head & the grass needed cutting (it was eventually cut but not before time). Not surprised about the rat as there now appears to be a cat on the grounds everyday. Worst ever for us was that we had to vacate our room at 12pm (dinner time) & was not flying home until 4:30am, we asked about keeping a room, which didn't appear to be a problem when we arrived but when we asked on the day it was not possible as a huge Spanish group at just arrived and took up most of the hotel, taking over everything including the small pool area, bring glasses to the pool and pushing each other in with them, but were never stopped by staff; other guests just sat and watched as everyone felt intimidated & did not enter the pool despite how hot it was We accepted that the was no room for us but the issue was that they do not have a shower & baggage area for people in the same situation (cases could be left in reception area). At 30 plus degrees all day & no where to shower, we had to use the toilets late at night to try and freshen up before we headed off to the airport sweaty & tired. Someone needs to re-evaluate the stars on this for international use as it may have been given the 3-stars by a Spanish inspector; the hotel needs gutting, including the dated furniture & starting over. P.S don't think there is any parking on site either, the photos all show parking available but we were on the front & all cars parked there never moved & belonged to staff. Torremolinos itself was lovely, I would suggest it to anyone, but just not this hotel.

I always thought that people who returned from holidays and wrote bad reviews had nothing better to do, however after the terrible experience that we as a family had I feel that I have to make people aware of the following.

ROOM 101 no toilet seat, had to climb over the bidet which wasn't working to use the toilet, had to wait 48 hours before they put a toilet seat on. Mattresses stained. Sheets were clean but throw was full of stains and vomit so that was in the corner of our room for the whole of the holiday. Televisions were not working in either of our rooms and the electrics were extremely dangerous.

Breakfast was fine cold meat and rolls, however the crockery etc were dirty.

Waitor was the most horrible person that I have ever had dealings with and one morning he threw rubbish at young British girls and was extremely racist and said that one of them was an uneducated Indian who should be on the streets.

Evening meal the food was unedible and again the crockery and cutlery were stinking.

There were about 5 old chairs around the pool, the pool is tiny, no sunbeds, but the area around the pool was clean but as you didn't have any where to sit it was pointless going there.

The hotel is situated in a very run down part of Torremelinoes
