“WE LOVE THIS HOTEL!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2011

My husband, our 6 year old granddaughter, and myself stayed in the Mandalay Suite and enjoyed again the wonderful hospitality of Marcos and his great team. This hotel just goes from strength to strength. We have stayed in various rooms and suites on our visits and they are all of a superior quality. Nothing is too much trouble for Marcos, Bolivar, Ben, and Isabella, who go the extra mile for all their guests.
The location of Villa Marbella is superb, being just behind the orange square, making it so easy to get to the beach, the lovely shops, and of course many good restaurants.
This is favourite "MUST VISIT" hotel in Marbella, we can't recommend it highly enough!

Back again...6th maybe 7th visit ( just cannot stop coming back!!)- And why do we come back? Because La Villa Marbella is just simply the best Hotel in Marbella. Located 90secs walk from Plaza Naranja (Orange Square) it offers comfort way above the price charged. Marcos, Ben, Bollie and the team are just outstanding... If you want a 250-500 bed room hotel, then they are elsewhere in Marbella. If you want discrete, cosy, delightful and above all be treat as the most important person there... then La Villa Marbella is for you....!

We were visiting Marbella for a wedding, and only in the area for a few nights. We wanted a hotel which would offer something a little different to 'chain hotels', and also not be full of children (when we can, we try to avoid travel during school holidays).
I must admit to being a little anxious about the set up, but once you arrived it was all very straightforward. We stayed in Java, in number 9 - just on the opposite side of Calle Principe to the reception. This had a lovely roof terrace where we were able to enjoy a lazy Sunday with a good book.
Only breakfast is served at the hotel, but a huge range of cafes are available throughout the old town, the closest just a hunderd yards and a few moments away. Despite this proximity to bars and our room located on the ground floor, there was no noise or disturbance.
La Villa Marbella was a wonderful experience. Marco and all of the team were so helpful and friendly - nothing was too much trouble.
We cannot wait to go back!

This is a picture post card setting in a unique individual property. Its a number of small white washed premises in a narrow street in the city's old town. The flowering climbing plants provide a splash of colour against the white walls.
On entering this small hotel the scents, the colours and the cool calm atmosphere welcome you instantly. The staff, Boliver and Ben could not do enough to help.
Each room is individually designed and on entering its a feast for the eyes. We stayed in Boracay which has an eastern theme reminicent of Thailand buddist cultures. The fourposter bed draped in bitter orange accents against the crisp white bed linen. A temple dancer looked down from the top of the dark wenge wardrobe and entertainment centre. Wherever you looked was a feast for the eyes and the details in the furnishing was exacting.
The rooms were a zen santuary.
Upstairs was an open air lounge and tiny breakfast area which continued the theme.and is perfect mix of sun and shade amongst the flowers growing around the edges and the sofas and the fountain.
Want to get away from the crowds, the box style hotels packed with holiday makers, to become an individual and truly relax in the comfort and peace of a unique hotel this is for you.
Having found it I would without hesitation return and recommend it to couples seeking a retreat which is in the middle of the beautiful old town, yet is a million miles from anywhere when inside.

Room Tip: Individual rooms in a quiet location. Its 20 rooms sizes differ so ring and ask for advise.

My wife and I both thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The surroundings are stunning, the hotel itself was very clean with a nice Thai theme throughout and only a 10 min walk to the beach. The staff, Marco, Isabella, Wendy, Boli, Ben and Amy were great - very friendly and very helpful too. I would definitely go back there.

Room Tip: We had the Bali room which was very spacious, if you want a balcony or terrace I would contact Marco...

In the heart of the Old Town - great access to everything worth going to. The pool is well worth it. I had a four poster bed which was out of this world. The roof terrace was worth the trip in itself. Marcus was very attentive and knowledgeable.

This Hotel is truly a hidden gem in the heart of the Old Town. Our room which was described as their basic/standard type was anything but, with a four poster bed, beautiful bathroom and tasteful decoration in an Indonesian style.

Breakfast in served on a roof terrace from 8am until noon - very civilised time I think! The pool, situated in the nearby Courtyard building is apparently the only one in The Old Town and was truly a Godsend at the end of a hot day.

The Staff are the true stars of this hotel, however. Marcus and his team are so attentive and you have such personal care during your stay. We weren't flying home until 10pm and as our room wasn't booked out that day, we were kindly allowed to use it until we left (at no extra charge).

I can't wait to return to this wonderful Hotel.

Room Tip: Look on hotel's own website for best description of the room options. They are situated in a nu...
