“Now a wonderful restaurant too”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2013

Since my last review we have returned to the Torre de Andalucia. The miserable restaurant / bar owner referred to in my last review has left and the restaurant is now run by Santhay who is the complete opposite. friendly, attentive and the children loved him. He makes a real effort at all times. you can't go wrong with this place. No fitness centre but there is a local gym just around the corner a bit male weight lifter orientated

Spent 2 lovely weeks at the Torre last September 2011 it was perfect weather fab pretty pool and gardens and nice people.and good Resturant with outside terrace run by Santay who put on a few theme nights with entertainment and another bar area were most of the Swedish people drank was very relaxing and quite at times.there was a bus stop not too far from the Torre where you could get around the area and it is very close to Puerto Banus. there was a good market at San Pedro and Puerto Banus seemed a bit far outside the area but once you get used to where you are it is not that bad there were a few local bars and resturants within walking distance and a little bar around the corner which is run by an amazing Japanese lady who makes you really welcome if she is still there bit too far for the beach but the pool was amazing. please note my trip was Sept 2011 not Sept 2012

I just read the "Disappointed" review. She must have been very unlucky and no doubt got lost on the way to the Port. The pool was just beautiful and the walk down to te beach takes 20-25 minutes we went with the children for about 5 days over the two weeks. It is an apart hotel and many of the flats are owned as holiday homes so the rental company rents out their own and occasionally rents for other owners. We asked about an Iron and we were delivered one within an hour. The bar / restaurant owner was a bit miserable and had the habit of closing when it was not busy. A bit furstrating when you were expecting to pop in after a long day out. but there are several good restaurants and bars in the immediate locality and all very reasonable (More so than the one in the building) If you go there ask for Los Faralillos. There are several bars nearby. The Den is a bit of an East Enders haunt. Yves Bar down the hill was great and Port of Call at night was an amazing drinkers experience. We hired a car and visited local Selwo Wildlife park , aquapark and the large children's funfare in Benalmadena. \our apartment had a very well equipped kitchen. There is a local municipal bus that runs to and from Puerto Banus and San pedro where we went Jet Skiing for the first time ever. I could have done that all week. There is a 9 hole golf course just up the hill. only 15 euros a round but I didn't take my clubs.

My daughter and I went to the Torre del Andalucia 06.06.2006 for one week. Whilst we loved Puerto Banus we were disappointed with the accomodation. It was much further than 1km to Puerto Banus and took us over an hour to walk!! This meant we spent far too much on taxis. There were limited facilities in the hotel, the restaurant was closed on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, this meant we were unable to get anything to eat or drink. There was nowhere in the vicinity for us to go to as an alternative. This was a self catering holiday and the studio did not even have a kettle or pan.We would have liked to at least have breakfast in the restaurant but on the few occasions it was open this wasnt until 12.30pm! I think we should have been advised if this was classed as 'out of season' as we would have chosen somewhere with better facilities.
