“Very special place.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2013 via mobile

We visited after seeing trip advisor reviews (thought we may not get a table but went a little later so wasn't too busy). Seems so far away from the noisy plaza despite being right above it. It was like a step back in time. Gorgeous but subtle interior. The staff were so polite and their attentiveness was perfect. We had an incredibly romantic meal. We have booked to go again tomorrow on the balcony. Cannot rate this place high enough for special occasion dining.

“Fabulous Restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2013

Beautifully located in Plaza de los Naranjos in the heart of the old town. The restaurant is small and intimate. The gentleman who was running the restaurant on the evening we were there was very professional. The food is fantastic. My veal with herbs was the best piece of meat I have eaten for two years. Super place. Highly recommended.

“Lovely food, make sure you book!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2013

We tried to just turn up to eat here in May and we were lucky they fit us in but its very popular so worth booking. The staff are lovely, the food is really, really nice. It's not that easy to spot the restaurant initially as its on the second floor but worth making the effort to find it! There's a nice view of the square from the balcony and it has a great atmosphere.

“Surperb”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

Just a fantastic little restaurant which deserves attention. Nestled in the corner of Plaza de los Naranjos, the quaint food stop is very easy to miss but it lives long in the memory.

The starters were immense and superb - quality and quantity compared to other restaurants nearby in the Old Town for the same price - for example, a specialty seemed to be the fried prawns in garlic and I counted 18 individual fish pieces compared to half that for the same price in other food halls, complate with a fantastic buttery garlic bread. So tasty!

The mains were a little disappointing - we each had lamb and entrecote but the additional greens/veg were lacking - you had to really go looking for your carbs - i'm sure if we asked there wouldn't have been a problem though - there was plenty of meat on show!

Desserts rescued it as they were fantastic - rice pudding served in a way I've never before experienced and an equally large surprise in their chocolate ice cream dish, complete with unexpected fondant added - surperb!

Wines are incredibly cheap - dry, sharp and chilled perfectly, all Spanish in origin, at least in the whites. I didn't see more than one bottle over 20 euro

What sets it apart though is the location, especially if you get the balcony - ultra romantic , looking out over the square at everyone going by, eating and relaxing. Even some guttural Andalucian folk singer couldn't put us off our food and even a piano accordionist who had entered the restaurant was ushered back out after 1 "tune" to maintain the ambience!

The staff were fantastic, all three seemed to go between the tables and were highly attentive. All very nice people too, thank you. So very relaxed and we loved it.

We went to Michelin starred El Lago earlier in the week and it was too formal and stiff compared to this restauarant - charmless in the Elviria Hills. Between two we spent €100 compared to twice that for the same amount of food and drink and there was no comparison who won out in our eyes.

Make Paco's your first port of call, you won't be disapponited.

“Lovely food, understated”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2013

Did dinner here, very nice food perhaps a little old fashioned but that's almost welcome in modern Marbella. The food and service were excellent and very good value.Highly recommended.
