“Hidden Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2012 via mobile

Having gone to Marbella for a relaxing beach holiday I was surprised to find such a unique place. The Japanese style house hosted a wide array of bonsai trees of different types and ages, some even older than 500 years! Another plus was the lovely park surrounding the museum, nice place to cool down after a visit to the old town.

E4 entry, pretty impressive setting for a range of bonsai up to 500 yrs old. Set in a lovely park, with walks, a lake and full of locals. Just on the edge of the old town, outside the shadow od the castle.

“Delightful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2012

The Bonsai Museum is a bit off the beaten track if you don't know Marbella. It's at the back of the Old Town, so you have to hoof it a biot, but it's a joy once you get there. It's rather incongruous. Marbella is a place known for its nightlife, you don't expect to see a really good Bonsai Museum. Worth the hike.
