“At the back, nice garden, sunsets; & u can drink & see the sea.At the front, 5´ from the Old City”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2013

I like to walk all along the " Paseo Maritimo", where u have bars, restaurants, all of them, in front of the Mediterranean Sea.... if u r going for the front of the hotel, turn right of the hotel, crossing the Av. Severo Ochoa, crossing again to left, the Av. change the name for Av. Ramon y Cajal, u walk 5´ along the Av. Ramon y Cajal, & u arrive, on the right side is, the " Casco Antiguo", with small streets, & very narrow some of them...with the " Plaza de los Naranjos" in middle of the Old City ( called Casco Antiguo)....with small bars, restaurants, some tiny & beautiful shops....going out, & crossing the Av. Ramon y Cajal, & u r in "El Parque de la Alameda", ( called for the locals : La Alameda), with very beautiful fountain, that together with the "La Avenida del Mar", ( with the famous Salvador Dali, statues along the avenue), ( & also the famous " BUDDHA BAR", on the left side of the Av. del Mar), finish in the
" Paseo Maritimo", in front of the Mediterranean sea... where the Hotel "El Fuerte " is few steps to the left...
the hotel is very nice in the morning, in the afternoon & in the night....we r going to the swimming pool. In winter is cover, & in summer open... the rooms are very good..... we recommended some people....they enjoy it....

“our stay at the el fuerte”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2013

we are just back from a short break at the el fuerte hotel and as always it was great.. The staff are really helpful, rooms lovely with sea view , and food great... It is so central to all activities and amenities, and also the old town, so one of the best locations if coming to Marbella. The gym is part of the hotel and has all you could possibly need, and really modern, with someone at hand to explain all to you..

“3rd time staying here”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2012 via mobile

Another beautiful week here, hotel was as good as ever, nice sea view room, within a few steps the beach, close to old town for lovely restaurants and shopping, beachfront bars and restaurants all within walking distance. Can't wait to return. Only downside get your towels off the sunbeds if you're not going to use them till lunchtime.

“Good, central position”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2012

I booked this on recommendation and was not disappointed. Great spot for the beach front and access to the old town. My wife and I also enjoyed a horse drawn carriage trip around the town. Rooms are plain and best to book a sea view. Breakfast was good and we ate on the terrace. Cant comment on their other food,as we ate in restaurants. I give it top marks for location.
