“Classy beach restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2013

Went twice for lunch, including a Sunday, when it was busy with large groups of very well dressed locals, but no problem for people in swimsuits coming directly off the beach. Very nice ambience to the place, beautifully decorated, raffia mats on the sand under parasols, and African lodge theme in the cool interior. Food was very good, they have a large temperature controlled wine room. As to the service we had no complaints both times we went, it was quite busy, but service was faultless. Parking is tight, but free if you park half on the pavement on the road down to the sea. As parking in Marbella seemed to be £14 every time we went, the first two cocktails were covered! Any place that is packed with local customers must be doing things right. Only 4 Kms from Marbella, and well worth the visit.

“Good atmosphere but lousy food”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2013 via mobile

We love this place, but the food is too variable - sometimes very good, but sometimes obviously 2, class.

The quality control in the chefs department is just not good enough.

If the raw materials are not 1. Class, take the dish off the menue that day, dont sell it to guests who are expecting something 1. Class in an otherwise 1. Class restaurant.

To be specific -the tuna fish on the evening of 26th of june was awful and tasted of cod liver oil, was quit raw and tasted just not good.

Please improve quality control in the chefs department.

“What a great beach bar restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2013

We came here to eat both for lunch and at night - such a great place both for decor and atmosphere as well as for excellent food. I would highly recommend it to anyone.
