“Not worth a good word or star rating whatsoever”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2013

Stayed here for 1 week 'half board'. Had to fork out an extra £300 due to food not beung fit for a dog. Terrible & I an diabetic & my husband has bowl issues. The slop was unediable & dont be fooled by the food hall pics on various websites etc. 'Hotel' is right next to a busy motorway, very very dangerous & is nowhere near Marbs, boat cost €130 each to get to the real tourist area. Staff attitude horrendous & they are very unhelpul. Would not even give us a glass of water on our table as we were not 'all inclusive'. Not worth any star rating, never mind a 3*. DO NOT STAY HERE.

went here for three weeks,ok hotel itself was ok rooms ok cleaned most days, area exelent fo going to la cala/marbella fengerolla, nice grounds to the hotel, some nice bars and restaurants near by, but the restaurant in las chapas let the hotel down, food was quite cold most of time , went to use microwave, it was disgusting mentioned it to reception , next day it was cleaned, alas after that it went back to being filthy, eggs were swiming in water, looked like they had been steamed, bacon was just dripping with grease, shame it was good hotel, restaurant staff was reluctant to speak english, saying that the hotel caters for spanish pensioners, who go there often.would not go back but we enjoyed ourselves.

We tried an all inclusive holiday for the first time, unfortunately we chose this hotel, the hotel itself was ok, most of the staff were pleasant and helpful, however there were some who were dismissive and rude, at one point we asked for a glass of rose wine and were served up white wine which was then topped up with red wine! we informed the person sieving us that this was not correct and we're told in no uncertain terms that this was what we were getting. There was a sense of being a second class client whilst wearing the green wrist band and also being restricted to the time table of the meals was a bit prison like, the food was ok if repetitive and fighting ones way around the buffet bar with what seemed like hundreds of geriatric Spaniards, who had no sence of waiting or queuing was a frustration, we will not be doing this type of holiday again and most certainly wil not be revisiting this hotel

Room Tip: Look at an alternative venue

Having been led to expect a poor hotel from other comments on this website we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at this hotel. We found it spotlessly clean, the staff welcoming and helpful, beautiful grounds, lovely clean swimming pool, and the food was very good - traditional Spanish cuisine with excellent soups, interesting main courses and beautiful ripe honeydew melons as alternative to the dessert each evening. What more can you ask for? We thought it was excellent value for money and we would recommend it.
Incidentally.we wish to correct the misinformation that you have to walk along the motorway to get to the beach (10mins away) - there are pavements with barricades and a good bus service into Marbella in one direction, and Fuengirolla the other way. A most enjoyable holiday

Again, we had to spend a night in a hotel as our flight was on Saturday and the holiday booked started on Sunday Our last stay here was acceptable so we came again. It was good value as the room was clean and had all we needed for a one night stay. The breakfast would not be to the liking of those who want a full English breakfast.- but would one demand one in Paris or enjoy the coffee and croissants provided? I had yogurt and the little vanilla cream pastries and chocolate pastries and they were delicious. The coffee machine was temperamental. My husband and I both asked for white coffee. He got milk and I got black coffee. Next time I will use the Nescafe! The Spanish star system seems to be different to ours. They seem to go up a star for having 24 hour reception.

I booked an Easyjet Holiday advertised by Easyjet as having all the facilities my son and I were looking for. 4 Star rating, bus service to and from the beach, shuttle bus directly from the hotel into Marbella on a regular basis. Next doort to a golf course, room overlooking the pool plus other attractions. We paid extra for shuttle transfer from the Airport.
Upon arrival we were informed that the Shuttle bus service had been cancelled months before, when we got to our room we could see the pool but it was over 200 metres away. The sheets on the beds were almost transparent they were so thin and worn. We had to ask for towels as none had been left, we were given grey threadbare towels. When we went to breakfast the bread had mould on it, the food was disgusting. The pool area was infested with flies making sun bathing quite horrible. The golf course did not exist, the nearest course was nearly 2 miles away and so expensive as it was for members only. The worst thing is that Easyjet holidays are trying to FOB us off saying that the hotel is arranged with a third party of theirs. Easyjet advertised it and took my money, I want a complete refund which they are refusing. I had even had a meeting with the Hotel ManagerJuan Carlos who agreed that the hotel was very tired and in need of refurbishment and that the way it is advertised was very misleading he agreed that we should get a full refund from Easyjet. I have asked them to think again. John Thompson

After reading the reviews on this hotel we still booked and we where shocked, the money we paid inc hotel & flights £ 463, now let's be straight about this hotel, it is very tired and looks like it's never been decorated or upgraded since being built but it was very clean including the toilets, the rooms were made up everyday and it is situated next to some very top end bars & eating houses, 10 mins to Central Marbella, Banus 20 mins, in truth the food was good albe at times a bit Spanish but we are in Spain, staff were sound and very polite, I can only speak as we found, for the money spot on and the La Elviria area is Mint.
Dave & June.
