5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 21, 2012

this was our second time at the hotel and again was extremely comfortable holiday. we stayed in a beachfront room which was very comfortable with fantastic views. all the staff as usual were very attentive and always smiling. anyone who comes to this hotel will undoubtedly want to return. we will be back next year. deserves the accolade of best in europe.

Room Tip: the beachfront rooms are the best

We stayed at the Marbella Club Hotel for six nights and from the first moment, we felt like royalty. The front desk is friendly, cheery, and willing to do whatever we need. There are some rooms that are newly renovated - that's what we got. Great shower, fresh flowers, champagne, and fruit waiting for us at check-in time. Flowers were even replaced throughout the week! The buffet breakfast was also fantastic. Overall, we felt really pampered. Guest relations, Sophia, is incredibly sweet and goes the extra distance to make sure we were enjoying our stay. She even tried to locate something we lost at the airport. Highly recommended!

The Marbella Club Hotel has been a wonderful hotel for many years. i first visited more than 20 years ago, and the concept has not changed in that time. It is expensive, exclusive and very well worth a visit. Simply stunning.

It's old, like your grandmothers bedroom, where things are stuck in the 1960's. It is ridiculously expensive and the whole place is broken and falling apart.... And most comically, it is set on a nice beach on the med.... Where you can't swim because of stinging jelly fish.

Room Tip: We had the cheapest room in the back, no view, costing $650/ night.

Thank you for your feedback on TripAdvisor, we pride ourselves on our customer service and value all comments from our guests. We would like to apologise for the dissatisfaction which you experienced during your stay. Renovating such a historic property is certainly a labour of love, but please be assured that we are undertaking soft refurbishments of all the rooms to bring them to the highest standard which our guests expect, whilst maintaining the historic charm which guests appreciate. In Winter 2012/13 we have some very exciting refurbishment plans for the hotel.

Unfortunately there was an extremely unusual influx of jellyfish this summer and whilst we would love to control these things there’s little we are able to do. However, our seawater pool by the beach is a good alternative.

We hope that you come back and see the hotel following the refurbishment and give us your feedback.

Yours sincerely,

If you are going to Marbella you have to stay in marbella club. From the minute we arrived to the minute we left the hotel the team were amazing. On walking through from reception the view takes your breath away and you never tire of it. Lots of little touches they do and the way you are looked after by the staff make your stay that extra bit special but I won't spoil their little surprises by putting them on here, go and find out for yourself you really will not be disappointed. Thanks for a great holiday.

We have had the buffet lunch around the pool which is wonderful, so much choice it goes on for ever, every tapas style meat/ fish, onto lobster, freshly grilled fish and meat cooked to order, beautiful salads etc etc etc then the dessert table but if like us you only eat light dont bother as its around 40 euro's per head, you need to be more than hungry, The evening dinning experience is somthing else, eating under the star's with candle light, what a magical setting, the service is exellent, and then the food, Fantastic, we have dinned in many top restaurants but this is hard to beat for us, the bar area too with the piano so sitting there sipping your pre dinner cocktail is lovely, if you havent been yet we would highly recommend. Oh the Hotel bulding and grounds are beautiful too.
