“Get what you pay for”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2013

I stayed here last week Thursday to Sunday with my friends. The hotel location is excellent, right in the middle of everything. Rooms are spacious and clean enough with air con. View of the motorway wasn't very pleasant but we were out alot so that was fine. Had lunch by the pool which was nice but very slow service. Found a fantastic restaurant called 'la sala' behind the hotel that was a very nice treat with live entertainment. 2 courses and wine 45 euro, not too pricey and well worth a visit. Hotel is full of young party people/clubbers so not recommended for families. I was woken 2 of the nights by inconsiderate drunks shouting and singing. Maybe if the hotel had security patrolling the corridors they could sort this out. Over all great budget hotel.

Room Tip: ask for a room facing the swimming pool to avoid thebusy motorway !

Stayed at the hotel Tuesday to Saturday this week we came for a girls holiday. We arrived from Malaga Airport and took a 6 euro bus to Marbella station and cost roughly 15 euros to get to PYR!Location wise this is perfect it is right next to everything! Marina,Beach,Shops,Clubs,Bars and Food. There is McDonalds near by too. The hotel was clean and there was a good mix of ages alot of groups of stags and hens! The rooms were quite big including a mini kitchen and a balcony and had a safe inside the room to give you piece of mind! Cleaning staff were pleasant but agree that reception were not as.The pool is not as busy during the week but come Friday and Sat it was.Pool and surrounding areas were very clean! Breakfast buffet was nice but just opposite was Universal Cafe was absolutely brilliant and 5 euros for a full english!Alot of the bars and clubs offer you one free cocktail and the hotel is within walking distance from well known places such as Sinitra's, Tibu and Astral Bar.Alot of club reps will stop you during nights and hover around hotel to advise you on nights out but also there are alot of 'luckylucky' men who try to flog fake goods to you! There was a little noise from people coming back from partying around 5/6 in morning however it was tolerant. There is a motorway near by so is quite loud in the mornings! I wouldnt recommend for families with small children although there is a childrens pool i didnt see many children around! Overall was a very good stay and location wise is perfect you wont need a taxi anywhere!

Great location. Few minutes walk to Port/bars/clubs/beach and transport links. Lively pool area. Alot of groups of young adults up for a party. No music at pool. Rooms very large. Very clean. Nice room maids, friendly and helpfull. Breakfast typical. Toast/ fruit/cereal and limited hot items. No water!!! Overall attitude of hotel staff was poor. No information on excursions and reception staff very rude. Staff were only downfall. Overall great base for seeing the area or for having a party holiday.

Great location if you do not mind 24 hour non stop traffic noise from the dual carriage motorway directly adjacent this huge Hotel. We stayed here 15 years ago & remarked it needed refurbishment then & it looks like nothing happened since. The reason the rooms are cheap is self evident the moment you open the door into the bedrooms, truly dreadful. Its really a budget hotel without the comfortable beds & the towels are worn out, the bathroom / toilet constantly had bad smells which even strong bleach could not correct.
You can walk to the Port & shops but thats about it & the pool area was packed all day with drunken young teenagers, plus the bar snacks were just terrible & luke warm. So would we book there again... certainly not.

Room Tip: Would suggest try any other cheap Hotel than this one if you want a decent bed & away from the c...

There was a surprise when we booked in, the room was large, well equipped in all respects, with a kitchen?
Who would expect a cooker in your room. Balcony, seats, table and view. Great so far. It was only out there on the balcony we could hear the traffic noise, which was not apparent inside.
The pool, bar and case storage (when leaving) we're all fantastic. I would give it 5 stars but it's not new enough for that.
Value for money,it was. Last minute.com made sure we got good value.
The beach, shops, stores, nail salon, are all minutes away from this hotel which is sited in Porta Banus where you can shop for €250,ooo watches and shoes to die for. mackdonalds , Kentucky and sousi all 5 minutes away. I found the location fantastic, ships and boats as well as cars that are normaly only seen in films. I ate breakfast at the local tavern next door, where the prices were the same as the hotel, where you got more for your €8.
A very good hotel in a great location which I would use again and recommend.

This hotel is ideal for hen and stag parties. However don't be fooled by the photos on their website. Aside from the entrance this is hotel that is very 80's in style. It's well looked after but it's not modern like the website suggests.

It's a 5 minute walk from the hotel to the main bars and the marina. The rooms were cleaned daily and were large. They were basic but as this place is ideal for hens/stags, the rooms need not be anything better. The pool area was large with plenty of loungers. The bar served a decent range of drinks, beer was okay at 4 Euros but spirits are 7 Euros. However they do typical Spanish free pouring so you get plenty for your cash! Staff weren't exactly jolly but we had no issues during our stay.

Do not come here if you are a family or a couple looking for a quiet hotel. The security were decent on a night doing their best to quieten down the rowdy lads at 5.30am.

Breakfast is an additional 9 Euros each a day. It's a buffet and is nothing special. There's a wide range of options, cereals, fruit, Tassimo coffee, tea, juice and hot food. The hot food is very typical hotel buffet, but Puerto Banus is an expensive place and breakfast anywhere else would cost you much more.

Overall, a good stag and hen venue. Nothing special but good enough.

This hotel is a haven for stag and hen parties, there were tons of them there during my stay - which was for a stag weekend! The rooms are clean and functional, and the location is ideal for the port, beach and nightlife.
I would not recommend this hotel for families or couples if it is always like the weekend I was there - guests crawling back to their rooms at 5am does not make for a quiet away-from-it-all environ.

Room Tip: Earplugs if a light sleeper.
