We stayed in Marbella Beach resort on summer vacation, it was a great experience. The apartments are well equipped and maintained; so it's very convenient for families with kids. There was a kids club with a lot of activities, very nice outdoor pool, indoor lap pool, playing area. The beach is very nice as well, it is just next to Don Carlos hotel with beautiful gardens nice for a walk and Nikki beach with an array of adult entairtainments .

Room Tip: choosing the room depends whether you want to be near the pool which is the center of attraction and...

Second time staying here and shall be back again in few months. Lovely resort which is only a short drive to popular attractions around the Marbella area.

Plenty to do on-site and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Whilst we was here last time the weather wasn't that great so the family indoor pool became very useful. The resort is right on the beach so it is nice to look out at the sea views.

They accommodate everyone so not only is there the outdoor pool and indoor pools for families they have an outdoor and indoor pool for adults only for those that like a bit a of quite whilst relaxing by the pool.

The apartments are very spacious and have everything you need if you would rather stay in and cook your own meals.

Looking forward to returning!

We stayed here for 3 weeks in November 2013. This is our 3rd visit to this resort. We stayed in a three bedroom, three bath unit. We requested a top floor, corner room, which we were cheerfully given. What a lovely resort! Very clean, nicely furnished. Every amenity you could want. The staff is great. The location is perfect for traveling to other locations such as Mijas, Ronda, Benehavis, Nerja, etc. The resort is located right on the ocean, and backed by the mountains. There are plenty of restaurants nearby. The market place is well stocked, and their is a large supermarket nearby for your daily needs. Your terrace is large, with an umbrella and table that can seat 8. Our unit looked out across the sea to the Atlas Mountains of Africa. If you walk down to the beach, you can see Gibralta on a clear day. The beach has several nice restaurants on it, with seating inside and out. I really have nothing negative to say about this resort, and would happily return in a heartbeat!

We traded our week at JW Marriott Desert Ridge for Marbella. And glad we did.
Beautiful condo with morning sun, large patio and views of the Mediterranean. Two bedrooms. Well appointed, all the things we needed. Great bed. Huge bathroom. Even big second bathroom and large easy access shower. Property is well maintained and slopes to the beach and the sea. Marketplace on site is large, with everything you need if you want to eat in. The El Med restaurant is casual with a huge morning buffet and great lunch and dinner selections. Outdoor dining and cocktail spaces very nice. Staff at the restaurant...Alberto, David, Fabrice, Carmen and more were just terrific. Gluten free options abound, including the best GF bread I have ever had anywhere traveling. Didn't get into the pool due to cool weather but gorgeous setting, tons of chairs, umbrellas everywhere. The beach is, as mentioned by others, tan/brownish sand, not white, but great for walking or sunning along the turquoise sea. Every request we made at this location was attended to immediately...AND followed up with a phone call to confirm that everything was ok and solved to our satisfaction. Easy access from A7 connecting with Malaga airport. Day trips: Ronda and Granada (Alhambra) were easy. Spent the nite in Granada, which is a 2 hour drive. Shopping close by at El Corte Ingles department store. Old town Marbella dinner was great too. Overall, great relaxation, quiet (off season), beautiful. By the way, there seemed to be a lot of activities for children as well, including an indoor pool.

We stayed at the resort from 17 to 23 March and had a lovely time with our 2 children (aged 3 and 3 months respectively). It was the perfect combination of having things for children to do (particularly the indoor family pool which was perfect as whilst the weather was sunny most days, there was a slight chill in the air sometimes and the outdoor pools are freezing) and also being very quiet as it was off-season! Lots of playgrounds too which our daughter loved.

Absolutely spotless resort. Our apartment was spottless too and huge with everything you'd need including dish washer, washing machine and tumble dryer.

Staff were excellent and really friendly.

The only less than perfect thing was the dining... few options within the resort and over priced. Only really one option for eating out during the day within the resort (at El Med). The sports bar was good (Charlie's) but doesn't open until 1800 and very overpriced. During peak season, there are more options I think. We went to a resort in Sardinia a few years back and needless to say, the food there was in a different league!

Also be aware that you get charged for using the coffee machine sachets in the apartment (this was an unexpected charge for us).

Minor points aside, this is a brilliant, quick and easy, destination for a family getaway from the UK. Lovely place. We'll probably be back.

As I write this review I am 2 days into a 5 night break using Marriott Destination points. This is the first time we have visited this resort after many years of trying to get occupancy here with no joy so we had very high expectations of the resort and man, we have not been disappointed. We are staying in block 21 in a beautiful one bedroom apartment with a balcony which overlooks the sea and has superb afternoon sun.
The apartment is huge for a one bed and has more than enough room for 4 never mind the two of us. FULLY FITTED with EVERYTHING you could possibly need and immaculately clean, the polished marble floor is gleaming. Bathroom huge and once again immaculate.
The bedroom has a massive bed they call queen sized but honestly it alone would sleep 3 people with room to spare. As we are visiting in late March the weather is a little cooler so the apartments heating was welcome. We asked for feather free bedding and this we got...great job.
Our first evening meal was at the fantastic El Med restaurant on site where I would highly recommend the Chateaubriand.....cooked by yourself at your table on a slab of hot marble...gorgeous. The restaurant itself was a little cold but hey, it's March.
The resort's outdoor pools are unheated and there are adult only pools plus ample family pool areas but stay clear of these pools except on summer however the 2 indoor pools are fabulous. The pool decks are clean and tidy and supervised by lifeguards...there are loads of sun beds and even little mini cabanas with welcome wind breakers...there is a mean afternoon breeze comes in off the sea in March.
The staff are wonderfully attentive and fully customer focused...well done Marriott as usual on this score however the reception is a little understaffed at times so be prepared to wait and queue here at peak times.
Parking is underground so ideal in both hot and cool wet weather.
Lots to do around the resort in immaculate grounds, well manicured as is the Marriott way.
Our home resort is Cypress Harbour which we thought could not be beaten but we may just have found somewhere to rival it.
Well done Marriott. If you get a chance you must visit this resort
