Great location just 10 mins walk from the centre of Marbella along the lovely beach walk way. Spacious and inviting pool area with lots of grassy areas for kids to play. However the pools were FREEZING (typical in Spain though as no one seems to heat pools in Spain) so neither us nor our kids could actually swim. A shame that other guests felt the need to reserve beds right next to pool at 8am and then not actually occupy them until midday - when are hotels going to take a stand on this and chuck their stuff off??? It means that us with our 3 young kids under the age of 7 can't actually sit by the pool as we can't see our kids from the only loungers left. Annoying.
Anyway. Queued around 20 mins to check in - why? Surely the hotel print off a list of who is arriving each day and get the forms ready and keys ready to go so that there are no hold ups? no - apparently not.
Breakfast was superb. Lunch and snacks at the Cappucino Bar on the beach was great (although service a little unpredictable!) Room was average - very expensive for what it was. Great shower. Depressing lobby area - very dated. Bar very 80s - circa Wham!
Very nice and helpful staff HOWEVER I did object to the lady at breakfast trying to flog me a timeshare when I am trying to feed myself and my kids and I'm on holiday. She actually followed me out the door - not acceptable.
In summary, great location and a lovely pool area. A few niggles - stop the sales pitches and sort out the queues at reception and it would actually be rather good!
