4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2013

Satyed here for a long weekend with my daughter. Got a great rate on laterooms of 60euro per night room only. Room was spacious clean and bright. Free wifi was a bonus although you had to log in every time you used it. Staff were friendly and professional. Had breakfast on the first day but felt 19 euros each was a bit steep unless you are a big eater. There is a small shop near the golf clubhouse which sells water, juice, yoghurt wine, bread etc which we found by day two.The golf clubhouse is great for lunch and is very reasonable. A glass of wine here is under two euro. We paid eight euro fro the same thing in Puerto Banus and three fifty in the main hotel.Swimming pool was set in lovely gardens and when we were there was very quiet and peaceful. Not sure how it would be in the busy season. It is set in a very peaceful area which is about ten minutes from Puerto Banus and cost us 13 euro in a taxi each way.
All in all had an amazing weekend here and will definately be returning

My family and I stayed he whilst moving in to our new home nearby
We stayed there during a very busy conference organised by a large Dutch Company this was basically a huge party for their clients most of whom became seriously drunk throughout their stay The noise throughout the whole night bangong on our door etc was totally unacceptable we complained to Hotel Guest Relations who were very apologetic stating that this happens every year ! Hotel Management should have a duty of care to advise and warn customers of this unseemly event ! It was a disgrace to the Company who Organised it !
The rooms are well Appointed the breakfast is very good as is the Oriental Restaurant .
The Hotel restaurant and Bar food is just OK
The Pools Health Spa and Gym are all excellent there is also a good hairdresser who visits by appointment .
Most probably great for the golfing fraternity

Well proportioned room. Lovely pool area with plenty of loungers. Delicious breakfast. Also tried the Japanese restaurant which offered great service but not amazing value. Glad we hired a car for our holiday as the hotel was a little out of the way from all the action. The advantage of the location was that it was easy to switch off, and relax, plus the views over the golf course were attractive. I didn't use the spa or golf facilities but my brother and sister in law did and said they were great. Overall a relaxed clean upscale comfortable and unpretentious hotel with good access by car to PB and Marbella. Ps-They tried to invite me to a timeshare (or something similar) presentation but didn't push it when I declined.

2012 was the first year we decided to split our holiday between 2 golf resorts and the first time staying at this hotel. We stayed for 3 nights and played 2 rounds of golf. 3 nine holes courses and it was so good that this year we are going back for longer. The staff were very friendly and the buggy had an ice box and a ball cleaner included. The clubhouse great. We stayed at the hotel, the room very clean and spacious and the outside dining was superb/. We didnt need to venture out it was so good.

Room Tip: We had a room on the 2nd floor with a spacious veradah overlooking the golf course. There was a bus...

Spent our 3rd consecutive visit in August 2012, and we are just as delighted as previous years. It was nice to see that the hotel has made some improvements to the décor, also nice to see familiar faces amongst the staff too.

The Melia La Quinta has a certain magic, as soon as you step in you can't help but feel immediately relaxed, time drifts away surprisingly quickly and there is an assured ease to everything. Huge, clean bedrooms, great food and staff, excellent service, a choice of three restaurants, onsite spa, gym, deli and golf course, and perfect weather make this our #1 choice. Looking to re-book again this year and can't wait.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the golf course and roadside get the afternoon/early evening sun. Rooms on poolsid...

Having spent a relaxing 3rd day here on the 3rd night while sleeping in my 3rd floor hotel room with a balcony over looking the pool, I woke up to find my watch and wedding ring missing from the bedside cabinet...
I naturally searched the room to see where I could have possibly placed it while sleep walking! But to no avail and sadly the reality was my friends watch was also missing.
The reaction and compassion, humility and understanding of the staff was pure poetry... The stern Spanish faces showing they really didn't give a toss,no apology, no sign of any concern,no worry for personal safety.. and then questioned by the deputy manager why I had not placed my items in the safe, because if that had happened it would have been insured by the hotel..
Perhaps I should have also slept in there to ensure my personal safety?
Thankfully we at least woke up without violence having been inflicted..
Furthermore a totally dismissive attitude from the head office simply proves they are hiding a reoccurring issue of what appears to be an inside job, no doubt being repeated many times through a year... Top tip... Dress in a bin bag and take no bling, that way you may go unnoticed!!

This hotel is tucked away off the beaten track. It is definitely worth a visit especially if you have a car. There are complementary buses into Marbella and Porto Banus at certain times off the day. The pool area is lovely and the views all around are beautiful. The rooms are spacious but you can't hang wet washing on the balcony. The spa is very nice and the restaurant overlooking the pool area is very good.. The staff are very helpful and the view on the balcony was simply stunning. I would imagine that most people come here on a golfing holiday as it is a also a golf resort. The location is the worse part about it but with a car there wouldn't be a problem. As for the drinks ding expensive, it is a 5 star hotel so prices like this are to be expected. If you can't afford to buy anything in a 5 star hotel then you need to be downgrading to a 3 or 4 star.i would recommend this hotel if you want a quiet break and have transport.

Room Tip: A room overlooking the pool is good.
