“Miserable Staff”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2012

Visited Julies this evening and had a reasonable meal but the staff were just miserable exspecially the main waiter. The resturant was not busy and personally I can see why. We have a villa in Spain and come on a very regular basis and stay for long periods and we are always looking for nice places to eat but Julies I will not rush back too.

“annual visitors”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2012

We visit Julies once a year and have never been disappointed, though must admit its usually the most expensive meal out we have.
this year was no different apart from being told it was fully booked and only half the restaurant remaining filled all night.
We love the food but perhaps it does need an update.
Very clean, very attentive and friendly staff, great location.

“Was a nice restaurant......now shabby.....needs updating”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2012

This was a great restaurant when it opened a few years ago with a unique "starters only" menu where you chose two or three starter potions of various types for your evening meal. A bit like tapas but on a grande scale. Loads of crisp clean white linen curtains and tables settings, a bit nikki beach format!! And a top night out.

But with the winds of change along the coast the owners have changed, the chefs gone away, menu has changed to an uninspiring choice of standard holiday fare and the crisp white linen is now grubby and shabby and in need of a good wash. Our ladies were not impressed.

Saw a cool deals offer in the uk and booked it thinking it might have changed and we would give it another try, food was ok and service acceptable however training of the young staff needs to done as young girl arrived at table with red wine in ice bag and white in her hand, when asked why the red wine was in the ice bag she replied it's just in there while I open it!!! She had obviously been told to open the wine bottle in the ice bucket....and ordering a red and white got the same treatment?

This restaurant has a lot going for it, but now is in need of a good clean, menu revamp and inspiration....Julies is now a below average restaurant in an area with much better competitors.

“Good lunchtime venue, great view over marina, ideal for people watching!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2012

We have visited Julie's bar on a number of occasions over the last few years. It has a great location and looks chic from the outside. However, on closer inspection the seating and tables are begining to show their age and are need of replacement. Having said that, we couldn't fault the service we received and the lunchtime menu is quite acceptable.

A good place to either enjoy a drink and gaze out over the marina and people watch.

“Disappointed”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2012

A disappointing experience in a lovely setting. Was looking forward to a meal here but certainly would not re-visit.
Good points, apart from the location, were 'proper' toast with the pate and a lovely dessert.
Pate itself was very disappointing, for main I had fish cakeS but received 1 fish cake with a small amount of salad, when I pointed out to the waiter that it was plural on the menu he told me this was a mistake which if this was the case then this should have been pointed out at time of order! He asked me if I was upset with this - well of course it's false advertising!
Worst point was the filthy table, glass topped but certainly not kept in a hygenic condition, no table clothes were placed on the table when we ate which I think is against the law in Spain although I may be mistaken on this point.
One waiter was very friendly but the other certainly needs a career change
