We are regular visitors to Cabopino during our annual holiday, but following hearing a radio advertisement for Julie's bar and finding a 10% discount voucher in a newspaper we were determined to visit for the first time. We weren’t disappointed.
The restaurant is separated by a pathway to the rear of the complex fronting the harbour, the area nearest the harbour being the perfect location for an afternoon drink where you can sit on the terrace as you watch the boats in the harbour with comfortable sofas on the terrace. We were seated in the ‘tented’ section. There are about 50 spaces in the restaurant. Coffee can be taken on the terrace. We were greeted enthusiastically and seated easily. The menu is extensive with perhaps 30 main course choices, essentially continental in style. Desserts centred on variations of crepes and ice cream. There is a childrens’ menu.
Service was pleasant, efficient and multi lingual, and there was indulgence of the children in our party that were not having full meals. My wife was a little disappointed by her liver and mash that came without any other vegetables. My risotto (chicken and mushroom) was delicious as was my daughters chicken risotto and my son in laws chicken stir fry.
Presentation of the food was excellent.
Televisions are situated in the inner areas of the terrace showing sports events.
We scored (out of 10) – Food 9; Service 9; Ambience 8; Value for Money 8.
