“Excellent Tapas Bar”

Very sympa restaurant, very typically spanish! The owner (3rd generation) was very friendly helpful and kind! Great variety of freshly made tapas - cold and warm! Excellent value! House wine was delicious! Highly recommended!

“One of the best tapas bars in Marbella”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2013 via mobile

Visited this tapas bar at the end of last year, we turned up on a Saturday afternoon and it was already very busy, mainly with spanish locals. We sat and had some lovely tapas, seafood salad, chorizo, paella & the manchengo cheese platter were the ones that I remember served by friendly & helpful staff.I think we had 2 soft drinks and 5 small beers & 5 or 6 tapas dishes and the bill came in around 25€, excellent value for the area that it is in! I will certainly be back when in the area as it was that good, try it yourself if you can find it!!

“More Tapas please!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2012 via mobile

Fantastic food, friendly service, and very reasonable price.
The only down side is that we felt so comfortable that we drank wine at "sitting at home" pace.
Try the croquets, we had two portions.
My wife and friend fancied the waiter.

“Goooooooood!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 13, 2012

You have to try the "Pescado en Adobo" (marinated fish) or the "Pimientos del Piquillo" (stuffed peppers).
"El Estrecho" and "La Nina del Pisto" right across the street are two of the best places for tapas in Marbella,

“WOW Hidden Gem !!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2012

I've been going to Bar El Estrecho for at least the last 6 or 7 years, only when I am on holiday. Not easy to find but well worth the effort. Just 200m from Orange Square but better than anything on offer in the square. Not sure if it's Husband & Wife but if it is he serves the drinks and she makes some terrific Tapas. Amongst some of the best Tapas that I have tried in the Marbella area. You would have to go to Ronda to maybe find as good or better but then most of the Tapas bars in Ronda don't open during the day unless there is a religious festival on...and anyway it's a long drive !!
