“Pension las brisas still a dirty place.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2014

floor dirty by mix of different hair color, pubic hair in bedsheets obviously not changed for the previous 2 weeks, sands in bed's feet area.
noisy street road trafic.
not recommended even for backpackers.

Room Tip: check bed sheet freshness first. Request new ones if dirty.

This small guest house is in the perfect location for beach (2 mins), old town, restaurants, bars, etc.
The room was very basic but adequate, ensuite with quiet air conditioning.
There was free wifi.

BUT...(I can only judge by the room we had)
The shower leaked so badly we had to use the towels to mop up the floor - and the rooms obviously weren't cleaned regularly or the soaking towels would have been noticed and replaced.
Bedding and pillows didn't smell fresh, and the bedding wasn't changed at all during an 11 night stay. There were no protective covers on mattress or pillows - something I would consider essential in a hot climate with a rapid turnover of occupants.
I was unable to get a response from the hotelier either by telephone or email prior to the holiday.
I was dubious about being asked to pay the balance in cash when checking out - so glad I didn't as I later discovered the full amount had been taken from my credit card at the time of checking in, when I had been told that on arrival I was only paying for the first night.

Recently stayed here, while I was looking for a long term property... Ok, begin with the good... The location is brilliant, two minutes from the beach, a few minutes walk to the Casco Antiquo.. Beside shops, cafes, bars...
The owner, and guy working there are very nice, and friendly..
Shower in bathroom had good power.
Now the not so good... The bedrooms are terrible... Painted a sickly green colour, beds are springy and if you blink they move and creak, and are extremely uncomfortable.
I stayed for 10 nights, and not once were my sheets changed... And rooms were not very clean.. I found nail clippings on the bedside locker... GROSS!
Ok, you can say you get what you pay for (I paid 35 euro per night) .. But for me cleanliness is a must, no excuse!
