I stayed here for 1 night on a Business trip.
The hotel is 20 mins from the airport.
The room is very modern and comfortable, but basic
There was a room safe, no kettle and room service, but the choice of food was poor.
Mini bar in the room.
No swimming pool. Located next to the train station.
TV in the room BBC News channel in English only.

We loved the Barcelo. It is about a 15 minute stroll to the centre of town, but sits atop the train station which has a direct line to the airport and also is the hub for buses arriving from Granada as we did. The rooms are the first surprise, very clean, great beds, and fantastic rain showers but these are separated by curtains of tassles that look vaguely like Cher once commanded the support of an interior decorator. But downstairs is where the real fun is. The stainless steel slide that takes you from the first floor to the lobby is good for holiday videos, the light fittings to the lobby are in the shape of enlarged sacs, and the furniture, booths, chairs, in fact everything, was testimony to the fact that the architects and designers must have been given an open cheque. We had drinks in the bar just to be there, its that sort of place. Stay here. It's fun!

Stayed at this hotel briefly while traveling from Ireland to Granada, flew into Malaga and took bus to Granada the following day. Hotel is at the train station. We arrived late and left early so did not get a chance to tour and see what was close by, but the hotel is very nice (funky and modern), staff wonderful and great location if you want quick access to public transportation.

This hotel is located strategically on top of the Malaga Train station. It is perfect when you come into town by train or when you leave town. Just take the elevator up or down and you are on your way. Its also close to downtown and to the airport. The hotel staff is super friendly and multilingual.
The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The Hotel restaurant is adequate but if you wish for something different, you have multiple choices next door at the shopping mall. I'll saty there agin next time I'm in Malaga.

We used this hotel as a central location to launch some day trips to surrounding Andalusia. The location couldn't be better. An inexpensive door to door train trip from the airport (the hotel is next door to the train station, with a convenient shopping mall attached). The front desk staff were friendly and gave excellent advice regarding transportation to nearby cities, restaurants, the beach, etc. The lobby decor is quite funky, Jetson's style, with a big metal slide for quick access from the first to ground floor. We didn't see anyone use it, but admit we were quite tempted. The room was fairly modern with all the usual amenities. We couldn't find any English language channel on the TV, despite the guide in our room indicating there were several, but amused ourselves by watching a re-run of "Big Bang Theory" in Spanish. This is not a fancy hotel, but is nice, clean, unique in terms of decor, with a well-trained staff and great location. We would encourage those staying here to explore the beautiful park that runs parallel to the main beach area. It is a good walk from the hotel, but the park is large, tropical, shady, and a nice way to get to the beach.

We stayed in the Barcelo Malaga for one night following a late flight from Southend prior to catching a bus to Granada the following morning. We found this Hotel ideal for our needs as it was next door to the Bus Station and directly linked to the Rail Station for transfers from the Airport. The front of house were very professional and welcoming and the room was clean and comfortable - no issues. For these reasons we would recommend this Hotel for a city centre short stay
