“A good choice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2014

Although the hotel is not in the centre of the town, it is only a very short local bus ride to all the key areas - and the buses are cheap. It is only a 5 minute walk to the train station serving the airport. Service was excellent - all the staff on reception, in eating rooms and cleaning staff were very friendly and helpful. The heated indoor pool was a real bonus in January. Beds are comfortable and the rooms are quiet even though the hotel is on a busy street - good soundproofing. Breakfast OK - for me, the fresh squeezed orange juice is a sign of a top quality hotel.

We stayed there for 10 days with three kids - 6, 4 y.o. and a baby - escaping rainy London. First impression was not much, neither the hotel, nor the surroundings are fancy, but.. The pool is well-maintained, massage treatments are affordable and really good, a glass of champaign is offered for breakfasts, rooms are tidied up in no time - what's not to like? Both historical centre and shopping malls are reachable by foot, Huelin beach (not Malagetta) is about 10 min walk - we found nice grill restaurants and kids' playgrounds along it. Overall we had a relaxing stay.

Ask rooms with sea view (even side-sea view) and you will enjoy it. The rooms are really spacious, clean and new. The SPA is also good as well as the breakfast the best we got in our 15 days trip in Andalucia. The only drawback is that you have to walk 15-20 minutes to reach the city center which is not so nice coming back tired in the evening.. Anyway, it was definetely the best place we have been in Andalucia.

Room Tip: Ask sea view or side sea view (and insist for it!)

3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2013

I stayed at this hotel over Christmas eve and Christmas as I was passing by Malaga at that point. The hotel is about 10 mins leisurely walk from Malaga Bus and train station, 15 mins walk to a very large Corte De Engles. And it has a few local restaurants surrounding it.

I chose this hotel due to the fact it had a swimming pool and spa facilities, knowing that everything in Malaga would be shut during Christmas. Alas, I was so very disappointed that the swimming pool was only lukewarm, cold in fact, which made it impossible to swim. I saw 2 girls shriek in shock as they touched the water as obviously the water wasn't sufficiently heated, and the fact that it was winter period in Malaga. As a result, everyone decided to cramp into the hotel's steam room instead. It wasn't the ideal stay in the hotel I had in mind.

The room itself was spacious and clean and I liked the way the toilet was separated with the bath area, by a frosted glass door.

I would recommend a decent stay at this hotel, but they should really do something about their 'heated swimming pool'.

Dear Madam,
Thanks for your stay in our hotel and your comments.
We regret your disappointment with our pool, but as he could not appreciate it is a whirl pool, but an indoor pool. The temperature in a facility of this type, under current regulations, must be between 24 and 30 degrees Celsius and higher temperatures could result in the emergence of organisms and salts, as well as re turbid water. Therefore, we must be extremely careful with this issue for the welfare of our clients.
I hope that your questions have been clarified in this explanation.
We hope to see you again in Malaga or any of our hotels in Cadiz, Seville and Huelva.
Sincerely,

Miguel Andreu

Well looked after hotel with good service and plenty of space. Close to the Central Station but 12 minutes walk to the city centre. View over the port area. Got a good price and stayed 3 nights with a friend because we participated in the Marathon.

Dear Madam,
Thanks for staying with us and your comments.
Our hotel is a pleasant stroll from the center of Málaga, just a few minutes walk. You also have the option to request a taxi at the hotel reception or information about public transport, also very close to our location.
Hope to see you again next year in the Marathon Malaga or any other occasion. We will be happy to help.
With best regards,

Have been staying in this hotel for 4 nights during the last weekend of November. I loved the room with nice view through the huge window. Big, super comfortable bed with extra ordered pillows made a night sleep really enjoyable. Used the indoor heated swimming pool which was fun for our 1 year old baby)) the only disappointment is breakfast which is pretty poor

Dear Sir,
Thanks for your stay and your comments.
We're glad you enjoyed your break not only, but of our relaxing pool area ... and her 1 year old son has also done!
As for the buffet breakfast is something positively valued customers, so we miss what it says. The hotel buffet breakfast has a wide variety of natural, fresh and instantly made products: fruit, pastries and various kinds of bread, hot dishes, meats, juices…
Hope to see you again for Malaga or any other of our properties in Cádiz, Seville and Huelva.
