“Great for long break in Malaga”

There are some really good reviews for this hotel - thanks.

This is a new hotel, with large comfortable rooms. Even though we like to be out alot we like to have space to read and relax. This is really a business type hotel but that suited us perfectly. It is located five minutes from Malaga Old Town, less than five minutes from railway station and very near El Corte Engles!

If I was travelling to Malaga for just a weekend break I would probably stay in Old Town but we stayed for five nights and the location was perfect. The hotel is opposite the port so do not expect great scenery but you can get to the "locals" beach easily and eat in some excellent restaurants that are full of locals.

The pool and spa facilities are very good. Gym is small.

We only had breakfast one day and they ran out of hot food 40 minutes before the end. Bit disappointing!

Bar good with staff charm personified but not very lively.

It easy by train or bus to travel to some beautiful beaches, Cordoba and Seville which suited us.

So in summary very good quality hotel with great links.

We stayed here on our last night in spain, as it was close to the airport. There is an underground carpark, but you have to go to reception first.
The room was clean and the bathroom was spotless with nice toiletries. The LED lights on the aircon kept me awake but otherwise the room was very comfortable. The view was of the industrial container port but it was not noisy.
There is a small pool and spa but I didn't see anyone using it as the guests seem to be mostly Spanish business men.
The breakfast buffet was fine, and they do not have a restaurant but there is a coffee shop where you can get sandwiches, burgers & snacks.

We stayed in this hotel for four days in March room only. Despite being situated on the busy road which runs along the coast there is no perceptible traffic noise once inside. The hotel is plush and very well maintained with a large airy reception and lounge bar area AND the staff are friendly. Our room was a good size with two comfortable armchairs and the largest bed I'd ever encountered and a sizeable bathroom added to the sense of space. Although our room had a sea view it overlooked the port area, the beach being a short walk along the promenade but as Malaga is a 'working city' this didn't detract from the experience. Decor and furnishings in the room and throughout the hotel throughout are modern and of a high standard. The hotel boasts an outdoor pool which is surrounded by high buildings which I presume would be in partial shade at certain times but again this is a working hotel with lots of business trade and I would look upon the pool as an added bonus. The only negative comment I would make is that the spa was closed throughout the time we were there but it still rates a '5' in my book.

“Good hotel”

Stayed for 5 nights at the Monte Malaga in October 2007. Location is about 10 minutes walk from the centre of Malaga. Don't be deceived by ''sea view''. The hotel in fact overlooks the port and the outlook is not brilliant. However the hotel was spotlessly clean, the staff friendly and helpful and the room was spacious, modern and clean. Bathroom was excellent, modern with a separate toliet area. The walk into the centre of Malaga was pleasant. Malaga as a city was somewhat disappointing, not a lot to do but quite a variety of good shops.
If you want an authentic city break, avoiding the hoardes of tourists on the costas, Monte Malaga is a good choice

Myself & and a friend stayed at this hotel for one night in June. It was a lovely experience. The hotel was very modern, spotless clean, very friendly staff and it was true value for money. It was approx 20 minutes from Malaga Airport, it was located on the seafront, 2 minute walk from the beach. There is a lovely Chinese Restaurant beside the hotel. Would highly recommened and would stay at this hotel again....
