“Back again for another stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2012

We have stayed many times at this hotel because of its proximity to the station and the fact that the standard of the hotel is consistent. Good transport links a few metres away to get to the old town or about 15 minutes walk.

Reception is efficient and the rooms are of a good size and well appointed. The bathrooms are also of a good size and has everything you might need. It was all spotlessly clean.

We ate in the cafe/bar downstairs as we were statying on a half board basis and the food was well cooked and delicious. As for the breakfast you would be hard pressed to find a better selection anywhere.

We will definitely be staying there again.

A short walk out of the Renfe station and you are there. Just don't look for the Hotel Silken name (pronounced Silkay in Spanish) because you won't see it. We walked 2 blocks too far with our luggage. Check out the pictures on this site - you can't miss it. We rented bicycles to ride to the beach - about 10 minutes on foot - and it was worth it. The beach is about 2 miles long and you can ride the entire length easily with the bikes. The rooms were nicely appointed, not much of a view, but clean and modern. There is a grocery/ department store right out the front door if you need anything. We stayed one night and rented a car the next morning - not a bad location if that is your plan. The AC didn't work in the first room so we asked for another - no problem accommodating us. I would recommend this place.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view - otherwise you make look at a clothes line.

Very nice modern hotel as our pre cruise hotel. My wife and I had a lovely modern spacious room but had a terrible view (the apt block next door's washing lines) so we kept the curtains pulled. Booked a triple for my parents and sister in Law and they got a lovely big suite with lovely view's.

Would reccomend this hotel and would stay again.

Stayed here for one night between BA flight and rental car pickup next day. Comfortable room and excellent buffet breakfast next morning. Got a good Expedia rate of about £50 for 2. Wifi only worked in room if nose against door. Spa consisted of sauna and jacuzi quite pleasant. Bathroom and room clean. We requested a quiet room at back which worked out ok.

Room Tip: Request rooms away from main road

Good location, good rooms, good staff, really nice breakfast(!) and nice jacuzzi on the rooftop.
Only negative thing to say about this hotel was the massage I had on their spa. I got a male masseur, and I did not felt comfortably with him. I dont mind male masseurs, but I did not manage to relax with this guy..
Overall, great hotel, but be aware of the spa if you are a young girl.
I would visit this hotel again

Room Tip: take a room with breakfast

Booked a triple room and was upgraded to a suite for a 1-night stay en route to Mijas. Desk staff were helpful and speak English. The room was spacious and clean. Very convenient to the train station and port; a 15-minute walk to city center and bars/restaurants.

Room Tip: suite 601 is a large corner room with 1.5 baths, perfect if you have 3 people traveling together.

We booked this hotel as an overnight stop before travelling on to Seville and have decided to come back at some time for a longer visit. Great location for the train station and walking into the centre. Rooms were much larger than we expected and although we didnt see much of the rest of the hotel what we did see all looked really nice.
