“worth a visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

Went on a Saturday morning just after 9.00am in mid-September which turned out to be a good move as, when we came out a couple of hours later, the queue to get in was stretched around the block. Lots of families with children there which was great to see, the Spanish obviously value their culture as student and young people are given free access on Saturdays.

“Unmissable”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

The museum is housed in an old palace and should not be missed as it contains outstanding works by Picasso covering most of his career. The thematic organisation of the paintings provides a good example of the evolution of his style over his life. It is worth trying to arrive early (at 10 am) as the museum gets very busy later on.

“special ehibition with photos of family and sitters”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

Had to queue for 20 mins to get in around 2.Special exhibition was interesting. I still don't really "get" Picasso but did enjoy contrasting the photos of his children with the portraits etc and could see how some of his work had evolved.

“A Wonderful Solitary Experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

I was in Malaga for only 2 days, but really had my heart set on seeing the Picasso Museum. I visited on my own so as best to experience the art displayed. I was also lucky enough to be there at the time of a Denis Hopper Art exhibition. It really was a lovely place to be.

“Best guide ever”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2013

This museum became one of my best art experiences ever. Our group had so fantastic guide who spoke fluent english. She really gave me food for thought. It was interesting to see different parts of Picasso's great career.
