It did not disappoint! Well worth the entrance fee we thouroughly enjoyed our visit. It was wonderful to see the older work. The building is also very beautiful. The rooms are big and the paintings are well spaced so it was easy to get an unobstructed view of each one. There is no pressure to hurry so one can linger over favourite pictures.

You'll need to be a really keen art student to get much out of this collection. The works shown are generally inconsequential and some appear to my untrained eye as downright bad. It's difficult to understand just why the works are presented in the order in which they are. Like an indifferent piece of music, it goes in one ear and comes out of the other. The collection is housed in a very attractive 16th century building, which is perhaps its saving grace!

well laid out exhibition but a bit confusing as there was another exhibition on as well as the permanent one.
Fair price (6 euros I think).

What can I say - how would like to have your nose inches away from these great works?? Be sure to spend the extra to see the other exhibits as well - they were awesome. If you are into archaeology/history, then do not miss the lower level. 6th century BC ruins and more. Very cool.

One of the best parts of going to the museum is the surrounding area. Tons of restaurants, bars, gift shops, street performers, etc. Just walk in any direction and enjoy.
