“Absolutely wonderful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2013

We stumbled on this place after growing tired of the local Spanish cuisine. It was so fantastic we went back the following night!

The spag bol is fab, as is the veal - finish off with the panna cotta or Lingote (Spanish for Ingot which is a gorgeous chocolate dish).

Local buskers stroll by playing everything from guitars to accordions to saxophones which are a delightful accompaniment to the meal.

The staff are friendly and helpful too.

The location is touristic but the taste never be disappointed. Especially, Gorgonzola for bread and tomato are excellent taste. Highly recommended.

“Tasty food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2013

Very nice place, indoors was fully booked so we sat outside, a bit chilly. Very good food, the gorganzola and truffle croquettes were excellent, enjoyed the liver pate appetiser but glad I wasn't vegetarian!

“Wonderful Italian Food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2013 via mobile

First impressions walking in were good. The restaurant has an impressive layout and design, which instantly caught my eye. The food is delicious. The appetiser at the start was the best I've ever had anywhere, which got me off to a good attitude about the restaurant and its food. The starter and main were equally as good, presented in an imaginative way. Prices were reasonable for the quality of the restaurant and food.

Definitely recommend it!

“Exciting food with an eye for the smallest detail”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2013

We had lunch at Pastrani because the very popular but crowded Gorki tapas bar in front of it seemed fully booked. What a pleasant surprise! The antipasti of scallops with rucula, mango and various other delicious ingredients was a real gourmet dish. The cod tempura was equally exciting with small quantities of ginger just for a subtle contrast. The ricotta tartare dessert was a crown on our superb lunch priced at a price for which you get much less quality at beach side restaurants along the Costa del Sol.
The verdeja house wine was equally good quality at a very reasonable price.
We will certainly return regularly to this wonderful place
