“Excellent Italian food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2012

Since we live in the Malaga area we are always on the lookout for something other than tapas. We stumbled across Osteria Pastrani one rainy afternoon, when we saw that they had fresh pasta on their menu we knew we had to have lunch there. The interior is tastefully decorated with muted colors, white tablecloths and painted "antique" furniture. They have several Italian wines on their wine list, something difficult to come by in Malaga. We started with the mini pizzas and Bufalo mozzarella salad, both were very tasty, the mozzarella very fresh. We both had different fresh pasta dishes, avocado raviolettis with white truffle oil and cream sauce and ravioli with fresh pesto, both fantastic. The desserts were a perfect end to a perfect meal. We also had the best service there that we have had in Spain. The food came out slowly with our main dishes of pasta arriving after our appetizers were finished and cleared. We will be dining here often I am sure.

“Perfect relaxed evening!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

We spent almost 2 hours walking around Malaga searching for somewhere we wanted to eat. Both being vegetarians, it's a difficult task finding somewhere suitable for a nice dinner out.

We eventually settled upon Pastrani as it looked quite special inside, and there were a number of things we could choose from the menu.

We had a lovely bottle of white wine, 2 delicious starters, 2 pasta main courses, and a dessert to share. Absolutely delicious Italian food, veering towards fine dining. We loved the unusual flavour combinations and really enjoyed every dish.

Good service too! A very enjoyable and special evening.

We had a very good lunch, went back the day after for dinner. High standard italian food! Starting with a refined appetizer.
House wine was very good.
