“Use the entrance down the tunnel at the back of the town hall..”

We used the entrance by the Roman theatre- but if you are going to climb through the gardens to Gilbafaro you might want to go up in the lift and walk down again esp if it is very hot, Saw a bride and groom having some photos taken-very pretty gardens, great views across the harbour and a historic monument to boot.

“Gorgeous views - bring your camera!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013 via mobile

We really enjoyed exploring this monument, we took so many photos. Remember your sun cream and hat as it is all out in the sunshine.

It's a beautiful view point to see over the whole of Malaga and the sea.

Very interesting to wander around and take in some lovely views of Malaga and admire the architecture. Also has a bargain entry fee of €2.20 p person.

“Very interesting, worth a visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2013

I am not sure if some of the previous reviews are referring to Castillo de Gibralfaro, the walk to the Alcazaba is not particularly long or steep and it is mostly intact with beautiful gardens and fountains. There are some inclines once in the building and some of the paths are cobbled, disabled access is not good but most people will not have a problem. I have been to both Granada and Seville but would still recommend a visit, some information in English would be helpful.

“Views from an ancient ruins”

This is a good spot if you want to see the city from above ground. I will not recommend if you have great fear of heights but you will be missing out.
