“The ultimate White Village in Andalucia.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2013

Unspoilt by commercialism, (you would be hard pressed to buy a postcard here!), tranquil, steeped in history, and fabulous views over the Axarquia. Take an afternoon off from the beach, and discover the real Spain!

“Home cooking!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2013

The scenery in the mountains is accessible and lovely. For dinner we were split into groups and went with a Spanish mum to her house were we were served the equivalent of a Sunday Lunch that she had made herself. Could be improved by having the option of a brief country walk instead of the visit to the olive oil factory.

“Proper Spanish White Village”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2013

A trip to Comares takes you to the real Spain. It is perched on top of a mountain overlooking a vast valley. The streets are quite steep, but the views are well worth the effort. We went on an organised tour & our guide was superb, being local.Included in the trip was a Tapas lunch. A proper tapas lunch not a touristy one.If you like the old Spain this village is fantastic.

“Beautiful White Towns”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2012

These towns are beautiful white towns that have not been discovered by mass tourism yet, so they conserve their traditions and you will not find many bars run by foreigners. The towns are still virgin towns and they have their special enchantments.
