“An ecclesiastical curiosity”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2013

Málaga's cathedral lacks a tower (hence "The one armed lady") which gives it a slight air of being off balance. The constant rowing of the Chapter with their architects over the course of the construction also gives it a somewhat jumbled external appearance. Inside it lacks anything of great interest apart from the magnificent choir stall, and the somewhat sombre grave to the fallen of the Civil War.

“Worth to see!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 12, 2013

Worth to see Malaga Cathedral!

It has really interesting architecture. The choir at center was surprise. It has many beautiful altars surrounding whole church.

“Beautiful, but not a "must see"”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2013

The cathedral is impressive from the outside, and that is why i was compelled to see it from the inside. The entrance fee was EUR 5. And yes, the cathedral was beautiful - colorful glasses, the organ was also impressive, but nothing that striking and worth seeing, especially for that entrance fee... I spent inside around 10 minutes. Do not regret if you skip it from your tour.

“Interesting.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2013 via mobile

This is an interesting cathedral, possibly because it was built on what was once a mosque.
Although it isn't cheap for entry, you do get an audio guide, which is informative.
Worth a visit, even if it's just to look around the outside.

“Spectacular”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

Have visited many, many cathedrals, abbeys, churches etc on various holidays over the years but can honestly say this was by far the most spectacular. Beautiful stained glass, alter etc etc but the ceiling was out of this world! Lit very well to show it at its best. An enormous solid chunky building in the heart of the old town. Admission free.
