“Lovely peaceful garden to the side of the cathedral”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2012

Interesting cathedral in central Malaga, beautiful garden to its side with a sculpture exhibition. I went during Mass but if you happen upon it at another time then it's about 5 euros to go inside.

“A must see in Malaga”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2012

We visited on a rainy day, but even in glorious weather visitors to Malaga really must take some time to see this cathedral. We have travelled quite a lot within Europe and this is up there with the best we have visited. The stonework on the ceiling and the wooden choir stalls were particularly beautiful. The cathedral museum is surprisingly small, but is included in the admission price so we couldn't really complain.

“Worth a visit.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2012

Although there is an entry charge I recommend a visit. Do take the optional audio guide which is included in the price as it gives an excellent and informative commentary. The building is huge and, unlike so many catholic churches, the stonework is clean and light in colour which greatly increases its attractiveness.

“An impressive place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2012

It was a real pleasure to visit and I really enjoyed the place. The only problem I can see is that to charge £5 to enter a cathedral is just not on. Cathedrals are places of worship and there shouldn't be a charge

“Strange to have a charge to visit a cathedral”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2012 via mobile

There are two options at the moment : the Turin shroud exhibition - but be warned it is NOT the real one of course (they do not mention this) but not a bad hour out for 8 euro ( multi lingual commentary )

The cathedral whilst nice - should not be charging 5 euro entrance to a pace of worship - ask for donations but not mandate a charge (of course accept this is only my opinion)
