“Great Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2013

We stayed here for a last minute short break. We were so pleased with the location. Right in the centre of Malaga, a 20 min taxi drive from the airport, and perfect for walking everywhere we wanted to go….. The Picasso museum, Marina, Kelipe Flenemco and various bars & restaurants to name just a few.

The hotel is located on the Calle Larios so most of the surrounding streets are pedestrians only. We stayed in one of the lovely suites with a great view over the Plaza de la Constitucion. Don’t expect perfect peace and quiet here, you’ll hear the hustle and bustle of people socialising and generally having fun on a Friday night…. It would only be a problem if you decide to get an early night! My advice is, go out and join the fun, there are plenty of wonderful places to eat and drink nearby, and In our experience, walking around to see the sites at night time is also very safe.

The only negative for us was that we were in the suite directly above the breakfast / Bar area. So when people moved their chairs we could hear it in our room. We only noticed the noise in the mornings and the management came in for a listen! They agreed they should do something to reduce the noise, so hopefully they will. They would have moved us if they had any available rooms but they were fully booked. To be fair though, we booked late and paid a good price – We’ll just book in advance and ask for a different room next time!

The surrounding areas are clean and the people are friendly, we would definitely stay at this hotel again, and bring the rest of the family next time too. There’s plenty for everyone. We really enjoyed walking to the marina in the mornings for breakfast. Eating out is very reasonable and for the best insight into where to eat a Gourmet Tapas Tour is an absolute must!

Room Tip: If you are not early risers it might be worth checking your room in advance if you have booked a sui...

I spent two nights in December in this hotel.

Hotel is located just in the city center of Malaga, near the central square.
From hotel you can easy reech by walking all major objectiv from city.

One problem is that you cant reach the hotel by car because is in an area with traffic restriction. Closest you can go around 800 m then let the car in parking ang go by foot.

Rooms are ok, not very big but this is normal for a city center hotel.
Even if rooms has view on street where al day is hell of activity, the isolation is good and room is quiet.

Breakfast is fair which for a Spanish hotel is maximum you could have.

I strongly reccomand this hotel for a city break in Malaga especialy if you go without car.

This hotel, like many other reviewers have stated, is a beautiful, small hotel in the centre of the old town, close to the beach, the old fort, the local market hall and restaurants and bars. The attractions of Malaga are within walking distance and easily accessible too.

This quaint gem of a hotel is on the main walkway lined with boutiques and filled with artists of all sorts entertaining the public. It can be a little noisy at times, but in my opinion that is part of the artistic flair of this town, the street performers and artists, and the afternoon and early part of the night are filled music, chatter, laughter and life.

The hotel itself is modern and clean. The rooms a re comfortable with clean, crisp bedding and we even had a mini bar. The bathroom consists of all the amenities and this too is functional and clean. The staff are friendly, attentive and very helpful too. I can truly recommend this hotel should you be visiting Malaga and wanting to stay over.

Have stayed here a couple of times already and booked to go back in November. Smart, stylish hotel in perfect central locations. Staff great, rooms really nice - worth a bit extra to get one of the suites which gives you a big room with terraces and great views. A bit of noise from the street at night, but only to be expected for a hotel so central and anyway, you should be out with the Spanish enjoying the night life, not trying to sleep! Apparently it's Antonio Banderas' hotel of choice when he is home, so can't be bad...

Room Tip: Go for a suite - worth the bit extra

This is THE place to stay if you want to be at the heart of the city – near shops and Carmen Thyssen and within a 5 minute walk to the port and cathedral - but without too much hubbub often associated with town centre locations. It's a long established hotel but street access is discreet with reception and public rooms up stairs/lift on the first floor. The hotel is stylish and rooms generally well appointed. Public spaces are plush without being over the top and the bar area is a pleasant and usually relatively quiet place to entertain.
We chose a Junior Suite (403) which gave us great views across the Plaza de la Constitution and the daily and nightly perambulations of Malagueistas. About 30% of rooms face the rear and will have no view: be aware when booking that if you need complete quiet probably the rear facing rooms would suit best.
Our room was large with a good sized comfortable bed and good pillows. Two sets of curtains meant daylight was kept out in the early mornings and the windows were well enough insulated for sound to avoid hearing much of the occasional late night revellers outside. Bathrooms were high spec with usual (for the area) black marble and travertine tiles. Our room safe was plenty big enough to take a laptop.
We only ate breakfast in the hotel once. It was Ok but even at €7.50 nothing to get over excited about. Unless you want the full range of breakfast fare it’s more fun to use one of the local cafes.
Receptionists were knowledgeable and happy to help with any problems. One of the pluses for me was that you can enter the hotel off the street and go to your room without always passing reception.
I’d definitely recommend this hotel and prefer it to the other four we’ve used in the city.

Perfect for exploring the city of Malaga. Right next to the lovely Plaza de la Constitucion and close to the harbour. The free breakfast is served until mid-day, altho' for the long weekend we were there, the offerings didn't change. Hot option was bacon & scrambled eggs the continental option was the usual cheese cold meats etc. Regardless it served as a good start to our day. If I returned to Malaga, I would definitely stay here again.
