This gem of a restaurant is located in the countryside, about 15 minutes from Ronda. What a find this place is. The owner Francisco told me his place is family owned and that most of the food is locally sourced. It was certainly fresh and really great value for money. We had the "arroz con conejo" (rice with rabbit) which also comes with chicken if you don't like rabbit. It came in a big paella dish and was made to order, so we had to wait for an hour but enjoyed some tapas of fried green peppers, local jamon serrano and some delicious anchovies in olive oil. The best paella-type dish I have ever had, anywhere! Two brothers run the place - one is the cook, the other the head waiter. Francisco, the waiter speaks a little bit of English, enough to get by. The wine list is impressive and Francisco said the menu changes daily, depending on what they find in the local markets. During hunting season he says they will sometimes have partridge, venison or wild boar. Highly recommend this place to eat if you are visting the Ronda area. Four people, too much food, great wine and the total bill was under 50 quid.
