“Flemenco great show.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2012

We went to this Flamenco show on a quite night about 12 in the Audience but the performers whipped up all the Passion and it was a great night. Tremendous performance from the family and there musicians who captured the imagination with there performance, the singing was Bold and dynamic the Guitarist was really accomplished and had played around the world. There invited percussionist was also a great musician and performer. I was very impressed with the way they were able to perform to a small audience but still get wrapped in the performance and be completely involved and enjoying themselves at the same time. We went to Lico as well and it was a totally different experience I would say if you enjoy do both they both had great but different performances. I set up my Tripod and took photos which I will add later.

“Pure Malaga, gypsy flamenco at it's best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2012

After reading all the positive reviews on Tripadvisor, I was really looking forward to this show. It didn't disappoint in any way. Only three performers on a small stage - almost put together on a shoestring (the guitarist took the entrance money!) This just made it all the more special; it was intimate and up-close, not flouncy and showy, no castanets or big spotty dresses. This was pure, gritty, gypsy flamenco. It was moving and, passionate, and what talent! Their 'set' was very good, with a good mixture of tempo, mood, and drama, with only a guitar, clapping hands, clicking fingers, and footwork. Tremendous stuff. And the location is lovely too; an 18th century palace room, beautifully tiled with a little fountain in the floor. With room for only 40 or so people, we felt honoured to be in the audience. Highly recommended, and worth every cent of €15 which includes a drink. Easy to reserve your seats online. The location is central although all you will find is a pair of large doors on a side street, but what lies behind is pure magic! Please note they have changed locations recently and some of their publicity material is showing their old location. They are now in Calle Alamo, Malaga

“Pure Flamenco, Great Atmopshere, Real Energy, No Gimmicks”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2012

Flamenco is not something I was expecting to enjoy, but agreed that we should give it a try. It was well worth it. At first glance, with just 3 people on a small stage, you might not expect much, but it's a great show, in a building with excellent accoustics, and the performers really put their hearts and souls into it.

Apparently this is Flamenco in its pure, raw form. With just the guitarist, the woman who does most of the dancing and some singing, and the man who does most of the singing and some dancing, that makes sense. No light shows, no recorded background music, just 3 talented people giving it their all.

The venue is quite small, perhaps 40 people could fit in at most, so you're very close to the action, and really feel that the show is for you, not a hundred thousand other people.

Our only criticism is that the guitarist, who introduced the various pieces, was too quiet to be able to hear everthing he said (his English was excellent) so we didn't understand what some of the pieces were about. Perhaps a very simple programme with the names of the pieces and a sentence or two that outline the story would help those new to this culture.

“The heart of Flaminco.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2012

Haunting, soulful, lovely, the Kelipe's performance, a family affair, touched me on many levels: the talent of the artists, the universality of family/human dynamic, the level of evident commitment and sacrifice made by these artists to protect their opportunity to develop and share their craft as a family. To have one's soul played and sung and danced is a gift, and I felt gifted. We were, and I felt invited in to this family's home, and after getting to know them a bit, I would honestly be delighted to welcome any of them into my home at any time. I encourage any Malaga visitors to carve out time to experience this moving Spanish art form so exquisitely practiced by the Kelipes.
