“basic hotel even the breakfast is very basic”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2012

This hotel is near to the railway- and busstation. Rooms are great just like in the most of new etap hotels. But everything was basic, even the breakfast. To find the entrance its not easy to find but it across a parking space. The hotel has a reception staff. Payment is in advance. Rooms are locked with keycard, which is better than with a pincode which I had in other ETAP hotels. Rooms have double bed, shower wc and airco and television. The rooms on are on the back and have view on the parking space which seemed also be used as public toilet, very nice to see people peeing while watching outside. Also the rooms on the first floor are next to the street so I couldn't let the window open because of the noise.
The breakfast is very very basic for an etap hotel. I went to Etap hotels in belgium and france and the variety of food and drinks was bigger over there then here. Only some bread croissant milk butter nothing really to choose, but ok you don't pay a lot.

Title says it all - This hotel was fantastic. The room was super clean and modern and was tended to by the cleaners every day. Small but practical and really if youre like me and would rather spend day at the beach as opposed to room, this place is perfect.

Had some noisy neighbours in the room next to me - but that was them not the hotel so really no complaints.

Beach 10 min walk - location super central and easy to get to anywhere.

Fantastic and would def stay again

This hotel is just OK. Rooms are comfortable but small, with a/c, TV, wc and shower. They provide soap, but there is no towel for drying hands. It is located just steps away from the center, and to go to the beach is a 15-20 minis walk. For what you get, is expensive. Breakfast is poor,. they give you an orange chemical as juice, and just white bread, croissants, milk, buter, honey, milk, coffe and tea. Beds are comfortable, and next to the hotel there is a parking lot, if you come by car.

This hotel is very near to the station at Malaga Central so it is really easy to get from the airport and the fare is only 1.60 euro.
The hotel itself is spotlessly clean and has all the facilities for a short break. A comfortable double bed and plenty of hot water.
The beach is a 15 minute walk away and it is great to be able to frequent some of the good value tapas bars in the old part of Malaga.
I would certainly recommend this hotel and look forward to my next visit.

We arrived quite late on a Friday, check in was quick and easy. The rooms are basic, but clean and very modern. The receptionist was very helpful and pointed out on a map where the nearest bars and restaurants were – about 10 mins away. We only stayed for one night as our bus to Granada left early the next morning. The hotel is about a 10-15 minute walk away from the train and bus stations but to save time we took a taxi which was only a few euros. Overall the hotel is excellent value for a short stay.

I was bitten all around my ankles by fleas. As we were travelling in November, it was definitely not mosquitoes. We had stayed here previously with no problem, but this time was awful. The worst thing? I complained, and they sent their apologies but did not even ask which room we stayed in! Never again.

For me, I only need a place to sleep. But it needs to be clean and should give a comfortable feeling. ETAP Malaga is very good situated to the centre of Malaga (2 min walk). Hotel is clean, friendly and gives you a welcome feeling. Recommended for this very acceptable price. Check it out.
