Visited based purely on the previous reviews and was also pleasantly surprised.
Wonderful to be in the guide's personal home and hear the stories of how/why items came to be in their possession. The trio who have put this all together come from some varied backgrounds!
Our guide, the Englishman, was attentive, amusing and was able to easily adapt to the small group of 6. For example, one lady was a student doctor (and he was a former Dr) and could point out 'medically' significant items in certain artworks. Similarly, we were visiting from Belgium and often this was referenced where relevant.
The tour is not too long and not 'just' glass and crystal, but plenty of paintings, old books and antique furniture. The house itself has been lovingly restored.
Would recommend for 'something' different, although perhaps not for 'technology amused' teenagers.
