“Most instructive”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

The roman theatre is unexpectedly well preserved and is used for occasional theatre representations in summer. The interpretation centre should not be missed as it provides a most interactive instructive presentation on the roman theatre itself as well as the city of Malaga.

“Fenced off as production in progress”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

Could gain an overview from the viewing point by the entrance to the Alcazaba but as most was fenced off and in accessible can't really say a lot more.

“Quick sniff of ancient history”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2013

If you like history go here for an ancient Roman theatre. Great for a quick trip way back in time.
It's a little worn due to it being in open air..
Don't forget to look through the glass pyramid across the road in historic soil.

entry is free and you can walk all around the theatre, even stand and do your " friends romans countryman thing " !! a short free video presentation will give you an idea of days gone by, after cross the road to the El Pimpi bar for a drink and tapa, full of Malaga history..

“Interesting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

Though very small, it is simply amazing to see and seat in a theatre created by the Romans as far back as the first century.

It is just amazing that the theatre was discovered as recently as 1951 when a slum in Malaga was being destroyed. A good part of the ruins remain in excellent condition.

Please make sure you don't ignore this place.
