“Delicious Food & Fantastic Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2012

We had the pleasure of visiting Vino Mio in September 2012. The decor is magnificent, very tasty & creative selection of food, set in the centre of Malaga just next to Teatro Cervantes. A wonderful place if you want to eat or just chill out with a cocktail. I will definitely be going there again!

“The Bright Night”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2012

A free booklet from our hotel, "Gastronomia - Malaga" had pages of restaurant reviews and advertisements that as usual we cross referenced with Tripadvisor before deciding where to eat. Vino Mio sounded to good to be true, Flamenco Show early, 8.30 - 10.00pm, and good food. We were not to be disappointed, so much so that we went on the Wednesday and again on the Saturday. The staff were warm and friendly and spoke good English. The food was excellent and it would be difficult to find fault, although, and it's a small point, the specials blackboard was the same both nights, but the main menu did offer a good choice. However the Flamenco Show varied from our first night, with different guitarists and dancer. There is a surcharge of €4 per person for the show, but you are told before you order, and it is worth it for 90 minutes entertainment. You can eat outside if you just want food and no show. The restaurant inside is well decorated with original paintings by Salome Hidalgo.

“Flamenco.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2012

The service was as you would expect from a busy restaurant - efficient, but not overly personal. However, this in no way hindered our experience, since the flamenco show at 20:30 was absolutely fabulous! The talented team blew us away, and being dragged up to dance by their beautiful dancer was a surprise! The prices were not bad either: typical of that sort of place. A very good night and some very good sangria!

“Very bad service”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2012

We ate ther with 3 people. Even though it wasnᷰt very busy, we had to wait a long time for the starters. As a drink we ordered Tinto de Verano, which was the worse I ever had in Spain. I think it only had a few drops if wine in it, so it tasted more like water, when I complained, they asked me if I wanted another one with more wine. I thought it would be free, but even though it was just as bad they charged us for the second jar aswell. The food we had as a starter was good. The main meal had a good taste, but had some vegetables in it that were impossible to cut and very dificult to chew, but maybe this just was a matter of taste. So for this I give them the benefit of the doubt and an extra point. The service wasnᷰt very friendly to start with, but after I complained about the drink, it was close to just plain rude. As my partner is from Malaga we travel there frequently and have a kind of list of restaurants we visit when we are there. This one is definitely not added to our list and I find it unbelieveble that they are ranked as one of the best in Malaga.
