5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2013

We recently rented an apartment here and the apartment and grounds were just lovely! The grounds are well manicured, with gorgeous flowers and fountains. the pools were clean, altho we never figured which was the warm pool! The aprtment was so luxurious, especially the large terrace! We were near the top tho so the beach was a longer walk than expected. We ate at an Italian resturant, not sure the name but it was past the Crowne, almost to the catwalk. The food was superb, the outside pizza oven was great!

Room Tip: try to get a room closer to the beach

Wow... The whole experience was Brilliant. The Apartment/Penthouse was massive, clean and had all the mod-cons required- Kids Game Station, Smart TV etc. We are a family of 5 (2 Boys 5&4, Baby 6 months)- and the Main pool was excellent. There is a partitioned Kids Pool area; then an adult area. There are also a further 4 pools which were much quieter (Mainly Couples/Adults using) The complex is set amidst beautiful gardens and it is very close to the beach - 3 minutes' walk; where you will find the Marriot Vacation Club Beach area- (Restaurants, Kids Play area). On an evening You can walk to a series of Restaurants just close to the Main Road. It is also very close to a Bus Stop which will take you along the main route to Marbella. We will definitely return.

Well worth booking, stunning traditional apartments, set in Beautiful Gardens with 5 swimming pools. Lovely Restaurants nearby, stayed a week and loved it. Only a few yards from a Beautiful beach, UK Pub nearby called the Robin Hood, the food and outside garden eating area where excellent.

Room Tip: Hire car needed.

I'm not normally one for writing reviews but having just returned from a two week stay at El Presidente I simply have to shout from the rooftops about how fantastic this place was!
We stayed in one of the 2 bed apartments which was more than adequate for our family. The rooms were spacious and airy with more than enough space to accommodate our two teenage daughters and all their baggage! All the beds were really comfortable with no bumps, lumps or strange noises and both rooms had en suites which were spotless and obviously well maintained. The living area had two large leather sofas and a widescreen tv with english and Sky channels. The apartment didn't lack anything and even had its own washing machine.
The owners, Kevin and Claire, were brilliant and really friendly. On arrival they provided us with lots of tourist information, what was and wasn't worth visiting as well as giving us directions to the best beaches, nearest supermarkets and some good value places to dine out. They showed us how to work the air conditioning and gave us the password for the WIFI as well as helping me connect to it! They had everything covered, even down to providing us with a code for the safe to keep our valubles and passports in.
The apartment had its own private garden, complete with BBQ, table & chairs and sun loungers as well as all the facilities in the grounds which were truly stunning! We all had such a fabulous time and really didn't want to leave. Coming from a family with two teenage girls that normally complain non-stop it's nothing short of amazing! We've already booked again for next year, I can't wait!

I haven't actually stayed in one of the apartments but my grandad owns a villa there. It's set on the grounds. I visit every year without fail. The communal pool is superb. Lots of sun loungers!! It's not too far from the beach. Shops are close by. Would also reccommend to try the Robin Hood which is near the Crowne Plaza, you can't miss it! The food there is brilliant and the staff are very good.

We have just spent a fortnight at one of Peter and Sylvia's apartments at El Presidente (end of August / early September) and had a wonderful relaxing time. The apartment was most comfortable, very well located and had all the extras one would want. It soon felt like home just a bit hotter. Peter and Sylvia were charming hosts and very attentive to our needs. We would warmly recommend El Presidente (and have done already to a number of our friends).

I've just returned from a long weekend at El Presidente. Our party consisted of 5 girls, average age 30... celebrating my sisters wedding in 2 weeks time. I found this place on one of the holiday rental websites and from the moment I made contact, Peter and Silvia couldn't have been more helpful. The apartment was within a complex, mainly local ownership. The apartment itself was clean and large... we were expecting a 2 bed place but were upgraded which was a bonus. The place has everything you need and is spacious with a huge terrace where the sun stayed on al afternoon. Although I thought this time of the year was still peak season (due to the weather still being high 20's) there weren't many people about which meant we pretty much had reign of the big pool which was fabulous. I had read on here that August and the school holidays is not a great time to go... well I'd say mid September was ideal. The beach is just a short walk away where you'll find a little cafe with a moody french owner... but service is good and you can lie on loungers just outside. A couple of local recommendations;-

Tanini - Fab cocktails, friendly staff and delicious grubb
La Florentine - Spotless Italian, check out the desert trolley
Puerto Banus - Saturday Market well worth a look and don't forget to barter (and a third of the price the guys are asking for on the beach)

In summary - El Presidente is a place for couples, families and singles if you're looking for a relaxing hassle free holiday.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Our wonderful 200 m² marble floored apartment is furnished and decorated to a very high standard throughout, creating a luxurious, cosy and homely atmosphere, having been completely refurbished in 2011 with new kitchen, bathrooms, beds, sofas and 3 LCD televisions. It has a very spacious and comfortable lounge-diner, with 2 sofas, 6-seater dining-table, fireplace, 42' LCD satellite television, video, DVD and mini Hi-Fi. It opens via french-windows onto a large south-facing balcony with 2 loungers and 6-seater dining-table that overlooks the beautiful and extensive gardens and main swimming pool. The en-suite master-bedroom has a new and very comfortable super king-size bed, a 32' LCD television, sunny terrace and lovely views. The recently refurbished bathroom has a large walk-in shower. The 2nd-bedroom has three new and very comfortable single beds (two can be joined together to form a second super king-size bed), a 32' TV, an adjacent recently refurbished bathroom with a full size bath with shower, and also a balcony with views of the gardens. The large and new marble-topped kitchen is extremely well-equipped and fully-fitted. Our apartment's corner location enables each room to have natural daylight and ventilation. Cot and baby facilities are available. It has been our second home and therefore benefits from immaculate decorations and furnishings, with all the comforts of 'home' available to our guests. El Presidente is on the beachside of the coast road that leads out of Marbella and Puerto Banus. Marbella town and Estepona town centres and their beaches are about ten minutes away. Fortunately our complex is, in our opinion, ideally located because we are close enough to enjoy all that Estepona, Puerto Banus and Marbella have to offer whilst at the same time enabling us to live in a tranquil and beautiful environment next to the beach with its extensive gardens, five swimming pools (one of which is heated for most of the winter) and sporting facilities, including tennis, paddle and basketball courts, football pitch and a golf-practice area. The beach is just a few minutes walk away, with just a narrow stretch of trees separating us, where we have our local beach bar / restaurants. Also in the surrounding area of El Presidente there are many family oriented activities available including adventure, wild-life and water parks, sea-life centres, dolphinaria and water sports centres. There are also many excellent golf courses nearby and beautiful countryside to enjoy, whether it be just driving through it or taking a relaxing walk. Marbella is an ideal base from which to explore the surrounding area. As well as the nearby coastal towns of Puerto Banus, Mijas, San Pedro and Estepona, it is well worth venturing inland to visit the beautiful white-walled towns of Benahavis and Casares. Further afield are the wonderful cities of Seville, Granada, Cordoba and Malaga and trips to Gibraltar and Tangiers. ... more   less
