“Superb Golf”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2014 via mobile

Played the C and A course here today and found this to be the best of the golf clubs we played in Spain this year, by a long way. The lady in the caddy masters office was helpful and friendly and explained the process although we had to wait till our allotted tee time which was fair enough, she also gave us complimentary bottles of water. We went for breakfast in the club restaurant and although not on the menu, the waiter was very happy to offer us a full English breakfast which was of excellent quality. We then used the free balls provided on the scenic practice area before heading to the first tee where the Marshall gave us another free drink and chocolate bar each. The first tee on the C course is right by the practice putting area and clubhouse but turns to the right and is a nice easy start to your round. The rest of the C course is very testing whereas the A course was a lot easier but both were in outstanding condition throughout and with breathtaking views whichever way you looked. I can't wait to return.

“3 x 9 hole courses (A and C are best)”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 17, 2013

When on a 4-day break with a friend who has a vila in Marbella, we played 3 days out of 4 at la Quinta (as he is a member) and 1 day at Aloha. La Quinta is a better golf course complex - but Aloha probably has better dining facilities afterwards.

La Quinta has 3 delighful 9 hole courses and A is long, B is scenic and C is tight. So a good mix. The golf shop staff tell you which 9 to play in what order.
free practice ball facilities (although no Drivers - as you will maybe hit the road!) and now a lovely Tapas bar at the half way house overlooking B Course 1st Tee and 9th Green.

Buggies had free waters and cool boxes.

Greens and the course in general were in immaculate condition. a lot of members play all week so it has to be.
It can be tight at times but hit straight and you'll be OK. as others have said - the setting with large aprtments and villas surrounding the courses; a variety of holes AND that buggies are allowed on the fairways (a very big plus) makes this golf course complex a great place to play.

“La Quinta Golf”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2012

Delightful course. Actually it's 3 x 9 hole courses and you are told which two to play - and in which order - on arrival. The staff were friendly and a nice touch was the 'free' provision of a cool box and water for the buggy.

We found the course to be all we could wish for. It can be tight at times and the water hazards could be a nightmare if you are prone to dwelling on such things. But the setting and variety of holes AND that buggies are allowed on the fairways (a very big plus) made this course the stand out on our week long golf break.

“La Quinta at Benalmadena”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2008

My wife and I have just returned from a most enjoyable fortnight at La Quinta in Benalmadena. The apartment was clean, well stocked and well maintained. Howard and Debra looked after us well. There was a good restaurant and entertainment program and a very pleasant park across the busy main road. The staff could not have been more helpful, both in Reception and in the complex. By the way, please keep the sangria sessions going!
