A beautifully designed and spacious hotel based on an old convent sympathetically converted, retaining all of its charm and features in a well run hotel - well located for visiting Cadiz using the frequent and reasonably priced ferry connection. Despite our low season (and heavily discounted) visit the hotel was well staffed, scrupulously clean and staff all very helpful

It's stunning building and center located, few min walk to beach as well as all major spots. I was upgrade to a suite, with very space space and classic deco. Staffs are helpful and friendly
I just wish weather could be better otherwise will be the perfect stay!

Fantastic setting in a monastery nicely converted, staff are very helpful, printed out journet details for us. We drove here and were thankful they have an underground car park as streets are impossible to leave car on. Buffet breakfasts were great lots of choice and fresh produce available, did not eat in the restaurant in the evening, looked a little expensive, as there is so much choice in the town. Some local bars look a little unappealing but go in and you find them friendly with a good range of food all at good prices.Peurto Santa is a lovely typical spanish town no all day english breakfasts or pubs a great place to stroll around and a good base if visiting Cadiz and Seville.

Very grand building, lots of public areas, good bar and restaurant. Room with a balcony, overlooking the pool, quiet and well furnished. Breakfast buffet very well presented and good choice of food. Adding breakfast, and superior room and parking, made it quite expensive. Staff, particularly on Reception, helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.

The hotel is beautiful along with the building. It's located fairly centrally, with the famous Romerijo within walking distance.

The problem with the hotel is the rooms. They are quite dated - as rooms in Spain often are. However, they were not dated in a charming way. The bed wasn't great; the pillows weren't awesome. In all honesty, I thought the rooms would have more "character".

Lovely building and communal facilities, but disappointing rooms.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2013

We have just returned after staying in this hotel for a week. Originally were going to stay in Cadiz but then realised that this would be a bit restricting regarding travelling to other parts of the coastline so we booked an Easyjet package -flight & hotel and it came up with this hotel just across the water from Cadiz. It was lovely being an old Monastery it was full of character bits from it's past as well as the old church. The rooms were very spacious, we had one overlooking the patio, gardens & pool, this had a lovely balcony which you could sit on in the evenings to enjoy a local bottle of Cava. It is tucked down the side streets so it could be missed but it is very close to the local restaurants and the ferry boat to Cadiz. This only takes approx. 25 mins and is so easy. The hotel has a car park so were able to put the car away as the streets are very narrow and taken up by the residents The breakfasts were really lovely and weather permitting can be eaten outside. It also has 2 restaurants & a café/bar so if you don't need to go out but I would recommend eating in the local pedestrian area where all the Tapas bars & restaurants are, this is where all the locals comer out to eat and parade. Super hotel to explore Cadiz & the area.

Room Tip: As its an old Monastery some rooms are very small so need to check what you are booking

Hotel packed full of character.

However the quality of the food doesn't match the price that it costs.

The waterfront is a fifteen minute walk and the beach is a good half hour walk away.

Recommend as a short stay only.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a balcony!
