A very good place where I could eat "tapas" and drink "jarras" of cruzcampo, everything was very veeeery cheap!
The most important and well-know place in Cadiz!

“Excellent tapas variety”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2012

Really great tapas dishes for a very good price (2 Euros each), so grab yourself 2 or 3 each and share. Great value and great selection. Also, a pretty good vibe in there as it gets busy.

“It was average”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2011

My expereince with this restaurant was not as good as others. Compared to other tapas restaurants we had been to (and ones we went to after) the food at this restaurant was average. It had a cool vibe and was very busy but some of the dishes we ordered just were not as flavourful as others and the tomatos in the tomato salad could have been more ripe. Prices are good so I don't think you could go wrong, just not the best meal we had.

“Spectacular Tapas, Great Prices, Nice Ambiance, Impossible to find”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2011

I went to this restaurant as a college student looking for a cheap and good lunch. They did not disappoint. After losing myself trying to find the place (it was my first time in Cadiz, give me a break!), I found a place at the bar and ordered a few tapas. All were great and all came reasonably quickly.
My first tapa was this gazpacho-like soup, only more orange (presumably from cream or something), and garnished with little bits of ham and egg. It was very smooth and went well with the provided crackers. My second was a beef patty garnished with an almond sauce and served with French fries. The sauce was one of the best things I'd tasted in quite some time. Thirdly, some meatballs in sauce (also with french fries). I don't normally consider meatballs a "spanish" dish, but they were too good for me to think otherwise.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone who's looking for a good, unpretentious meal.
