“Disappointing!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2013

We went to this restaurant after reading the good reviews on Trip Advisor and because it looked really nice and inviting, but what a disappointment! The service was terrible, and the food didn't live up to expectations. We asked for mixed meat grilled (parrilla), and one of the meats was inedible, because it was so tough. Never again.

“Great meals”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2013 via mobile

Have been several times as it is convenient to my hotel while working in Cadiz. Other than the dinner starting late for my Canadian dining schedule have great things to say, creative selection of Tapas and a truly exceptional steak, certain of their meat entres are presented on a small charcoal hot plate so you can sear to your own level, and the flavour is to die for. Have not gotten into the deserts yet but they look fantastic. Overall a excellent dining experience and oh yes they have a really fine selection of great rums at very good prices

“Expert steaks”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2013

We ordered solomillo de ternera / argentine sirloin of young bull, cooked "en su punto". They serve them on their own little heaters, miniature mangals with burning charcoal underneath, so we removed the steaks immediately and put them on the plate to bleed near the chips when sliced open. Delicious and perfectly cooked. The chips were sound. The 13 euro Rioja Alcorta crianza 2009 is great with this and a pork tenderloin fillet my wife ate.
On last night we shared a first course - 1 racion - of veal sweetbreads. These were slices, membrane removed, lightly dusted with salt and pepper, and quickly cooked on a hot surface. The simplicity of preparation let the subtle flavour through. Then we had two melt in the mouth solomillos afterwards, an exceptional red wine (23 euros) Teofilo Reyes 2009 Ribera del Duero, then a Naranja and sorbet pudding to share, a brandy served in a heated glass, and two cafe solos, we got quite close to 100 euros but had a perfect last dinner in Cadiz.

“Excellent seafood”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2012 via mobile

During my stay in Cadiz I tried out several restaurants, and La Parrilla was one of the best. Looks like a bar, but could rather call it a 'gastrobar'. Great seafood. Try out the grilled swordfish or tuna. Reasonable prices. Fish dishes start out at about 9 €. Nice service but menu is in Spanish...

Right next ti Playa Hotel Victoria, so it's a nice place for after-beach drinks. Oceanfront view as well.

“Outstanding!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2012

We liked this place so much that we went back three times in one weekend. Very creative menu that combines Argentinian and local cuisine. Food is delicious and original, from the small tapas to the more elaborate entrees. They have an outside patio and upstairs dining room with views of the beach. Staff is well trained and attentive. They also have a great wine selection and a gin & tonic menu. By far, our favorite restaurant in Cádiz.
